Subject: SW announcement about philliephan Posted by: Perm Dude - [471126619] Mon, Dec 18, 19:57 In response to my e-mail to Don Mathis, Smallworld was very kind to put up the following notice on the Login page for hockey: ATTENTION: Last week, Small World lost one of its most important, most active community voices. Paul Scheirer (a.k.a., "philliephan") passed away on December 10th. His passing will be a significant loss for all of us in the fantasy game community. Please join us in remembering Paul Scheirer. He will be sadly missed. A very nice gesture on their part. I sent them the information a few days late, so it was nice that they put the notice up right away. pd | ||||||

I had sent an e-mail thru SW game channels on Monday the 11th, and like all other e-mails I have ever sent to SW thru "normal channels", it was ignored. I am happy to know that Paul's contribution is recognized by the SW gods. It's too bad they waited till he was gone to acknowledge his value. Gives Hark another reason to boycott. | |||||

Thanks. Just wish I'd thought of sending Don the note before 11am the day of the service. Doh! He wasn't even in town that day! Taxman, I think you're right about the normal-channel e-mails. Either they aren't routed for a response or no one reads them at all. pd | |||||
