If you "Click here to create and insert a link" all you have to do is type in the URL in the box, such as:

http://cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hnic/instigator/index.html

However, if you wish to insert a link "the long way", simply type into the message box as if inputting a normal message:

{a href = "http://cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hnic/instigator/index.html" {/a}

replacing the { with < and the } with >

Ira,
Gary put together three gurupie friendly HTML lessons early in the last baseball seasons. Here are the links to them:

Lesson One
Lesson Two
Lesson Three

Then there are instructions on how to use Guru's Link Creator here.

Good luck!

BTW- You only need Lesson One for what you are trying to do here. Two and Three are about adding graphics.
