Man, talk about arrogance. I *so* hope that Sakic picks up those six points today and catches Jagr...

costanza, I don't think it's so much a matter of arrogance as it is resting for the playoffs. They're more worried about the team award than the individual award. Besides, Sakic didn't get the 6 points (though he got 1/2), so I guess even if it was arrogance it doesn't matter anymore. ;)

That's just not right. I was actually happy they both didn't play cuz I have Irbe. I expected Lemieux, but not Jagr too. Now, How in the world can CAR give up 6 goals without Lemieux and Jagr on the other team? Are they like, "cool we're in so we can take a rest too"?

Well I'm glad Carolina took the lost even though I had Irbe, because now my Leafs have a much more favorable matchup against Ottawa.

Ottawa was 4-0-0-1 against the leafs this year, not exactly what I would call favorable.

Its favorble in my mind, as the Playoffs is a whole new season so we can discard the regular season. But let me ask you, who would you rather play the Devils or the Sens, personally I'll take the Sens any day and I'm sure many others would gladly take the Sens over the Devils as well.

Strikers, it was the same last season. OTT swept the season series, only to go on to lose in 6 to the leafs.
I'd rather CAR wins cuz then there is a chance of two Canadian teams advancing. Now, one for sure is going to lose in the first round. This is not good for Canadian hockey. =(

TLW, I was at the game. I was really upset that Mariagr sat, but it was still a whale of a game, with 10 goals, 22(?) penalties, and plenty of action.
The 'Canes gave up 6 goals because they weren't back-checking hardly at all. Straka, Kovalev, and their other top-notch skaters were going into the slot unmolested and teeing off. Irbe actually didn't play that bad. But I don't think they'll be able to beat NJ at all, as much as I would like them to. NJ in 4...

I thought I'd get that kind of response... I just hope that Ottawa can win the series, because they really deserve it this year.

I'm a sorta leafs fan, and i'd rather have the leafs play the sens in the first round, even though their "playoff built" team will get dimolished. but it would be interesting if they could take it to 7. maybe then yashin will pull his famous move(scoring in his own net)(it was a nice goal though:)), and the leafs will beat them!
