Subject: Tonight's "Natural Hat Trick" Actions (Jan 2)

4-0 Sens 13 minutes into the game, all even strength goals. Hossa scored the Sens' second, third and fourth goals.
Looks like they are channelling their anger towards the management to "fire on ice".
Gotta feel bad for Dafoe. 3 saves on 7 shots. |

Double Goalie switch in that one.
Dafoe gone in favor of Hilincka, and Prusek leaves the game with some sort of right leg injury. Lalime in.
Question: Who gets the win? Lalime or Prusek?

Judging from last night's Avs game, I think Lalime gets the win. Roy played 12 minutes and pulled himself out becasue he had the flu. The Avs were up something like 4-1 at the time, and Roy got the win anyways.

I'm having Sesame Street flashbacks! "Tonight's action (well, at least in Ottawa) is brought to you by the letter H." :-)
TLW: If Prusek started (at least that's what I gather from The Dienasty's post) and the Sens maintain their lead, are you saying that the relief goalie gets the win?

I think he typo'ed.
If Roy got the win last night by starting and leaving, then Prusek should get the win by - yes - starting and leaving. ;-)

Oops, I meant that the starting goalie gets the win. So that's Prusek... =P

In other news, Brent Johnson got pulled for the second game in a row, after giving up 2 goals in 4 shots.
So much about the player of the week.

Entertaining game between Mon and Van, Naslund with a couple of goals so far and takes back the goal scoring lead from Hossa.

Can't say that there's any problems here PP.Although I haven't really watched the game it's sort of on in the background and I just glanced over to see the highlights.

Anyone know why Prusek was pulled? Why would a backup G get pulled after allowing zero goals in a blowout (I think it was already 4-0 when he left the ice). Did he get some sort of injury or something?
Oh and I checked NHL.com and it says the following: A goaltender receives a win, tie or loss if he is on the ice when either the game-winning or game-tying goal is scored. [link]
Sucks for all us Lalime owners since he played 2.5 periods allowing 1 goal and only got 15 TSNP. On the positive side, if indeed a goalie was hurt, I'm glad it wasn't Lalime, and 15 points is better than zero for a game he didn't start...

Wow, Hejduk' late assist means he's on a 13 game point streak.
Oh, and Lalime with 13 TSNP rather than 15, oops!
