Hey, I noticed alot of familiar names in the World Juniors and was wondering if any of these guys were related to NHLers:
Ryan Whitney = Ray Whitney(CBJ)
Mark Stuart = Brad Stuart(SJ)
Ryan Suter = Gary Suter(SJ)(Retired)
Marc-Andre Fleury = Theo Fleury(CHI)
Ian White = Todd White(OTT)
Brendan Bell = Mark Bell(CHI)
Petr Dvorak = Radek Dvorak(NYR)
Jiri Svoboda = Jaroslav/Petr Svoboda(CAR/TAM)
Zbynek Novak = Filip Novak (NYR)
Fredrik Eriksson = Anders Eriksson(TOR)
Jussi Jokinen = Olli Jokinen(FLA)
Tuomo Ruutu = Jarkko Ruutu(VAN)
Jussi Timonen = Kimmo Timonen(NAS)

Ryan Suter - Nephew of Gary Suter.

I don't know either, but every time I heard Mikko Koivu's name, they always referred to him as Saku Koivu's brother. Based on that I'd think that if there were relations playing in the NHL, we'd have heard about it.

Petr Dvorak is related to Radek.
Robert Nilsson is Kent Nilsson's son.
Alexander Steen is Tomas Steen's son.
The Jokinen's are not related.
Milan Michalek is Zybnek Michaleks brother(Minnesota, Houston)
Mikko Koivu is Saku Koivu's brother, although at 6'4" +200lbs I think he might have some Mailman in him too.

I was quite surprised to see a Fleury in goal. But when I saw his first name, I knew right away he wouldn't be related to Theo Fleury, because I don't think Theo speaks French.
Now, about the Ruutus, does anyone know if Jarkko (current Canuck) and Christian (ex-Canuck) are related? I probably should know the answer, but I don't. If I were to guess, I'd guess no. Christian isn't a standard Finnish (two-syllable) first name. Perhaps his family moved to North America before he was born?

Christian's surname is spelled differently from the others: it's Ruuttu. Yes, he's a Finn.
