Here we go, this is the 36th this year.
Thats on pace for about 70-75 hattricks at the end of the year
Last year there were just 57 hattricks..
List of this years hattricks
List of last year's hattricks

Especially when there are a bunch of weird people scoring hat-tricks last season (Langkow, Petersen, Tenkrat, Dopita, Ciger, Rheaume, Toms, Knutsen, Savard and Vrbata) compared to this year's weird people (Wright, Hlavac and Belanger). Looks like the new rules (or should I say, the old rules) benefitted the skilled players.
But then again, every dog has its day...

Another?
On another note, 3 late goals in the third just 2 and a half minutes apart seal the deal.. With 6 minutes left, the score was 2-2... ends 5-2

2 more perfect picks for me.
Home teams are 7-0-1 tonight. Will the Avs come back?

I dont get why I suck so much at pick'ems... I am already one of the bottom teams in January, and one of the lowest in December...
I'm 2 for 7 tonight... For the Islanders game, I was 1 goal off from a perfect, and for the NJ-MON game, I had the prefect score, just the wrong teams.. Frustrating

You actually picked Montreal over New Jersey? No wonder you aren't doing well at pick'ems...
I'm gonna be 5-for-8 tonight unless the Avs come back to win the game. I picked the wrong tied game. I should be on par with the others, as I don't think many people would pick Nashville or Tampa to beat St.Louis and Detroit respectively. Perhaps a few people would lose a lock pick too on the Nasville win.

You see, the Habs have won just 3 times out of the last 24 trips to New Jersey. You were going against extreme odds, Ira.

They aren't gonna win with anybody in net when they allow 36 shots by the supposedly defensively minded (no thanks to Burns) Devils.

Actually, they did win. That 3rd goal was absurd, don't know why the play was allowed to continue when Frisen knocked Hackett over.
Also, Ribeiro made 'incedental' contact with Brodeur (which replays showed wasn't true) and we had a goal waved off. Never seen an NHL ref so blatently affect the outcome of a game. Ridiculous.
