NY Rangers - 2:46, Barnaby 6 (Mironov)

1-0 NYR over CAR early in the game, and the newest Ranger not only arrived in town on time to dress up, he also set Barnaby up for a goal. This point is worth $1.65M (half of Mironov's salary this season) so far.

Leighton gets first NHL start and T-Bo gets a rare break.

The battle of the no-name goalies ends in a scoreless draw. Bierk (Phoenix) and Leighton (Chicago) both amazing in their shutouts, particularly near the end of the game.

Win for Dunham
Win for Legace
Win for Denis
Shutouts for Bierk & Leighton
Gerber & Markkanen in 0-0 game in 2nd period

The 'Name' goalies Lalime & Cloutier are 3-3 midway thru 2nd . . .but Cloutier does have an assist.

I saw Weekes got into the game, but Yahoo doesn't have his stats (Len Berman showed him letting in a goal, though). Anyone know if he managed to make any saves?

I was surprised Irbe got the start, having started last night too. I guess it showed.

"OTT - Chris Neil (abusive language 2 min)"

Maybe he was Scottish and they just didn't like the accent. It seems to me that calling a Scottish accent "abusive language" isn't too much of a stretch.

*14* penalties against Ottawa. And come on, an "abusive language" penalty?

What, are the refs grade school teachers or something?

I watched the whole game and frankly, it became ridiculous as the game went on, and in the end, it just became funny. The Canucks had better win when they were up by one man for almost half the game.

Sens give up 2 power play goals and actually improve their PK %. Naslund loses GWG on that late tally by Martins.

Don't spread rumours... Naslund came back into the game, but they didn't need him to play much.

I also watched the Ottawa game. A penalty is a penalty, but it became awefully comical towards the end. I heard somewhere that Hossa got a ticket for jaywalking after the game.
