Just wanted some input What are people's thoughts on who to pick up.I only have Hejduk along with Havlat, Tchakuk(sp)and Smyth with 3.5 mil in the bank. I was looking at Glen Murray, Bondra,Jagr or Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi would be my first choice although it leaves me with little cash.Wahington has the best long term sched to the All star break. Any other options with good scheds I'm missing.I know a lot of others have players like Forsberg, Tanguay, Blake, Modano or Turco so discuss it here. |

I picked up Marcel Hossa of Montreal and had him for his three games. I am very pleased with the points he picked up, and have seen him play and he is quite the player (big and strong....nice offense capabilities, likes to shoot).He is currently on the first line with Koivu and Zednick.
Marcel Hossa (MTL) 510 000 $ 01/11 BUF 37 points 01/09 NYR 67 points 01/07 @ NJ 19 points

At center, if you already have Koivu like I do, the choices seemed a bit limited. I went Forsberg->Nylander. Folks with absolutely no money, might be looking at picking up Jason Blake - that will free up lots of money to pick up one or more of the big wingers.
I didn't need to move anybody at wing, and didn't have the trades to anyway, but, if I did I would have gone ???->Jagr (This is a no brainer for money). If you are a tad short on cash to make that move, think about Bondra or Mogilny.

I went Hejduk - Jagr also, a no brainer like Richard said. I also picked up Tarnstrom on two teams also from Rachunek.

Forsberg-->Marcel Hossa Havlat-->Jagr Phillips-->Tarnstrom
I had way too many Senators, if they have a bad game, I had a bad night. Not cool.

Except they ususally have good games giving one good nights. They are one of the best teams in the league.
Then again, Havlat's about as cold as the ice he skates on. I traded him to Jagr on one team, too.

Glad I went Havlat -> Zednik at the beginning of this week... Havlat's colder than a Montreal powerplay.
Went Thibault (thanks for the shutout, gl against the Wings! ;) -> Belfour, and Rachunek -> Tarnstrom. Tarnstrom is back, gaining money, and Mario will eventually rejoin him. Assuming no injuries, my D trio of MacInnis/Gonchar/Tarnstrom could be very, very long term holds.
