Western Conference (The better one);)
Bill Guerin-Mike Modano-Teemu Selanne Todd Bertuzzi-Sergei Fedorov-Marian Gaborik Jerome Iginla-Peter Forsberg-Paul Kariya Marcus Naslund-Doug Weight-Ray Whitney
Rob Blake-Niklas Lidstrom Eric Brewer-Ed Jovonovski Al MacInnis-Mathieu Schneider
Patrick Roy-Jocelyn Thibault-Marty Turco
Eastern Conference
Jaromir Jagr-Mario Lemieux-Alexei Kovalev Dany Heatley-Saku Koivu-Marian Hossa Jeff O'Neill-Jeremy Roenick-Glen Murray Martin St. Louis-Mats Sundin-Joe Thornton
Brian Leetch-Sandis Ozolinsh Zdeno Chara-Gergei Gonchar Roman Hamrlik-Scott Stevens

Not sure if those are the exact lines, but those are your teams... I don't know how Selanne beat Gaborik, of how Ozolinsh beat Gonchar.. |

Selanne and Ozolinsh were both voted in by the fans.

Just noticed no Patrick Lalime either. Who are you going to bump out though?

Hard to believe Hejduk and Sakic were left out. Tarnstrom is more deserving of a spot on the team than Chara in my opinion.

Chara is good fantasy-wise... I'm kind of sick and tired of seeing Scott Stevens play in all-star games. So I'd rather substitute Tarnstrom for Stevens. But Tarnstrom has to be a given. Perhaps he'll sub in for Leetch cuz he's injured.
I'd also put in Lalime and take out Brodeur, not that he is having a bad season. Lalime deserves the recognition of becoming an elite goalie.
What the hell is Iginla doing here? They should put in Hejduk. It's pretty clear by now Iginla is a one-season wonder.
I feel bad that the fans wasted a few spots on non-deserving players like Leetch, Ozolinsh, and Khabibulin on the Eastern team. They could have done a lot better than these three.

There are so many good goalies.. I could name a bunch that could be all-stars, but there is so many, you cant startem all.. I agree Hejduk definetly deserves a spot... But since there's 3 Avs already, the coaches musta thought they should represent as muct teams as possible...

I would also take out Blake and Brewer and put in Zubov and Delmore, the player who leads all defensemen in goals and GWG (bad +/- though, but it's his team's fault). Poti should also be in, perhaps for Leetch.

They put Iginla in because they wanted a player from each team, but where is Nashville's player? Delmore would be a perfect fit, and why is Eric Brewer there? Edmonton's representative is obviously Ryan Smyth.
No wonder the players are starting to ignore the All-Star game. Half the players there aren't even All-Stars.

Sabres and Coyotes didn't have any All-Stars either.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Jokinen. He deserves a spot with his stats, and the fact that the game is held in Florida should only help him.
The NHL all-star game does not have the rule that every team must have a representative. Teams without a representative: Phoenix, Nashville, and Buffalo. But I suppose they do try to include as many teams as possible, while not compromising the quality of the players by too much.

I used to live in upstate New York. One of the local papers once had the headline, "Satan saves Sabres."

Mike Comrie should get the Oilers nod. Im surprised even with his injury he didnt get a spot.
And before we bash Iginla, the whole Flames franchise had a horrible first half of the season. Since Sutter took over, and there is some stability to the coaching ranks, Iginla is playing much better.
