How long is Mario gonna be out? Till the Allstar??? Bought him a few days ago in a "smart" move cause I figured any day he would be back and i would earn lots of cash, but no.... should I dump him and waste one trade that has given me absolutely nothing?

This is the scoop from RotoWorld

"Mario Lemieux will not skate until at least the weekend, reports the Pittburgh Post Gazette.
He is nursing a groin injury, and if the Magnificent One does not skate by Sunday, he will likley not play in the Penguins' two games next week leading up to the Allstar break. The injury may also put Lemieux's participation in the Allstar game itself in jeopardy. We will update you as to Lemieux's status throughout the weekend"

I'd dump him . . too much money to be sitting around hoping he plays.

See, Linda, you would have been smart if you picked up Thornton in anticipation of his comeback. But in the case of Mario, it's just not smart. When Thornton comes back, he comes back. But when Mario comes back, chances are he's gonna play a period or two, get a -1 or -2 rating, sit out the rest of the game, and then miss a couple more games. Mario is not a player who will play through injuries at this stage of his career. The slightest sign of injury would sideline him. So unless you hear that he's healthy, don't buy him.

Yep, I agree with TLW. No way he plays through an injury and jeopardizes his chance to come back at 100% later.

Still hopeful that the Pens can hold the ship w/o him, but it's gonna be real tough. Just not even close to being as good without him.

Boston got the lead tonight, and it was over! Kovalev has nobody on his line (yes, Hrdina is nothing). Straka is playing with the Czech youngsters. The power play stinks without Mario. Caron is good, but we need Mario back!

Same crap he pulled last year with the Olympics, watch him come back for he all-star game.

See that's the problem. Mario is never 100%. He'll never be 100% anymore in his life. He might get close, but it'll start dropping right away when he plays a game, and continues to drop when he continues to play, until he's too hurt to play anymore.
