Although he returned to practice this morning, Patrice Brisebois' days in Montreal could be numbered, reports the Montreal Gazette. Brisebois, who was ordered to rest for a week due to an irregular heartbeat caused by stress, actually flew to Paris, France without team permission for a 4 day vacation that has outraged many of the Canadiens' faithful. In addition, Brisebois has put his Montreal home up for sale and is sick and tired of the booing he receives on a regular basis from the Bell Centre crowds. It all adds up to a trade out of la belle province n'est-ce pas? |

I'd be thrilled. 4 million for this guy just isn't worth it. Shipping him and Hackett out frees up about 7 million. Czerkawski is turning things around, our only other bad contract that we need to dump is Audette.

Mario with a sweet OT winner after giving up a late goal with a too many men on the ice penalty late in the 3rd. 2 crucial points, and extra SWP for my team....it's all good.

People at work do the same thing as Patrice. Call in sick on a Friday and/or Monday and then take a 3 day trip to Vegas or go skiing or fish or go to the beach...good for him.

not to argue ; but an irregular heart is fairly serious.

So serious that he risked going into the high altitudes that planes fly in and spend 4 days away from team doctors that have no idea where he is. Serious or not, I say let some other team deal with him.
