as a flyers fan I love it!!!! they needed some help on the Def end. The flyers have 18 picks in the next draft so they can afford to use a few in trades.

I was wondering why the Flyers were dishing out picks in every deal they make. This upcoming draft is supposedly the deepest draft in the last decade... you'd think a team like Philly, who has alot of picks, would like to hang on to them.

But on the other hand, the depth in the draft makes Philly's picks more valuable for trading.

yeah, but this is 4th and 7th round that we're talking about here. it's like basically giving away practice pucks and a water bottle.

Usually the 3rd round is the last round of solid choices. Round 4 begins the 'diamond in the rough' process. This year though, considering how deep the draft is I'd say the 4th round is likely to include some good talent too.

Isn't this the same guy the Fly-boys wanted a few years back in a deal that would have sent Lindros to the Leafs... Sounds like his price has gone down if that's the case...

The Leafs supposedly considered getting him back too, but their scouts said he'd gotten slower. Sounds like he's washed up. That is only the Leafs talking though.
