How would each of you feel about postponing the date of our Yahoo! AL/NL autopick draft, now that the March 25–26 series in Tokyo has been canceled? The new season opener is scheduled for March 30 (Texas at Anaheim).
Would you like a few extra days to evaluate talent and injuries ... or prefer to stay with the tentative March 21 draft date? |

Doesn't matter much to me Moose. I'll go with either one.

I wouldn't mind a bit more time. Say, maybe Monday the 24th instead?

Ohboy ohboy ohboy!
But who do I pick? It would be easier to be 3rd (in NL)(whine).

Draft status has been set to "ready."

Means, I think, it will go off at 3:00 AM ET. I am ready.
If anyone *hasn't* excluded other-league players, this would be a good time to pipe up!

I'm ready to go. I think we're now in Yahoo's 'auto draft queue' and our league will be done as soon as we come up. That can be from 10 minutes to 24 hours IIRC.

Draft is done; please double-check teams for wrong-league players. Upon quick inspection, the only one that I spotted is Dan's 17th round pick, Vladimir Nunez (Fla.). Buh-bye.
Taxman sure cornered the market on AL shortstops: Nomah and Tejada.

I managed to end up with a 'studly' starting rotation of:
Pineiro Reed Fossum Contreras
My pen is stacked though (Rivera/Foulke/Baez/Rhodes) and my offense is loaded, so maybe we can work out some trades. I could also use one more base stealer to go with Jeter/Soriano.

Also, what was our final decision on other league trades? Are we allowed? Or only if someone on our team moves to another league? And if they do switch leagues, can we still keep them?

All non drafted players are on waivers so I'm assuming it is OK to put in waiver requests now?

Rogue Nine: Post #34 in this thread should answer your questions.
StL Cards: Managers can make waiver claims now but must stay stay within their original draft league (see thread referenced above). Remember that we have a limit on roster moves (35), so use them wisely.

"roster moves" refers to the number of free agent/waiver moves, or does it refer to moving from bench to active also?

It's actually called "Maximum Player Acquisitions" so moves within your existing team don't affect it.
Course, accepting a trade offer doesn't count against your moves limit (HINT, HINT).

LOL, Toral. Maybe you shouldn't have given me such a whoopin' in the hockey playoffs ;)
That "Holds" category will make things interesting from a pitching perspective.

it looks like i have 2 top-2 NL third-basemen and 2 top-2 NL second basemen. I would'nt be heartbroken to see one or two of these guys go. If you're shopping for a 2b or 3b, lemme know ;-) at first glance, it looks like i could use a decent shortstop and a decent closer.

Thanks Moose, questions answered. Now how about you trade me some starting pitching? :) (Mulder or Hudson maybe?) I've got a ton of offense.
Dan, I'm thinking about it, but I would prefer if I could keep Pineiro. My SP is already thin...
