0 Subject: Cechmanek -> ???

OK, with many people jumping on the Cechmanek wagon lately, what's everyone planning to do now that he is out for at least one more game and then the fly boys play b2b, so he'll at most play 1 of their next three games....

Personally, I'm thinking Brodeur, but am also considering Burke.... Any thoughts from the gallery?

Burke injured his groin tonight in Phoenix. Boucher came in in relief. Not sure about the severity of this one.

I was thinking Brodeur, Roy, or Burke.

The question for me is, which goalie is likely to start the most, and wtf is up with Burke in leiu of what DD just mentioned.

Unrelated, but sounds like Iginla injured his shoulder in Calgary tonight, scored a goal, had another scrap and hit from behind by Ken Klee, left the game near the end of the second period.

Think I'll go to Roy.

I'm holding. I don't really care about the money loss, trades are to important right now and I want Cechmanek's games in the next 7 days. I will afford to lose 1 or 2 games. All my planned moves have not been working out and since I just purchased him yesterday, I can't afford to sell him right now with only 3 trades in the bank.

I'd rather admit the mistake and take a goalie with a packed schedule against weak teams, like Brodeur. If I were going to trade out of Cechmanek anyways, it'll be better to do it sooner and get a couple more games out of whoever I'm trading into. This is what trades are for.

You are right, BUT I wasn't going to trade out of him in the near future because of the PIT's games. If you have the trades, it is a sure move. Personally, goalie trades are not working out for me and I would rather just hold at this time. That could change by noon though :)

Right now I need to think about iggy.

Cechmanek -> Brodeur
Vokoun -> Roy

I'm stacked at Goalie, and also have MacInnis/Lidstrom/Blake on D. With so many good mid-priced wingers out there, I felt it was best to put my cash into the two positions that usually benefit from cash infusions.

Oh, and I'll grab Cechmanek next week again if I feel like it. We're down to the last two weeks, I won't be holding anyone who doesn't play for a couple of days...

Broduer looks like the best choice, but I'd bet that he won't play tonight. He was scheduled to get a day of Tuesday in Montreal and at then they played him, to hopefully not let him dwell on the shellacking he got the night before... With a shutout in hand and b2b with Pit and NYI, I'm thinking tonight is his night off...

I gave in.

Went Ceckmanek > Roy
Iggy > Murray.

Trying something different with the Murray move, nothing has paid off for the last month. Well see about this one.

I went:
Cech -> Brodeur
Nasland -> Murray

So here's hoping this one works really well for you Scott.....

smallwhirled - its been average, not the best as my division rivals have been catching me and I have gone through all my banked trades. A month ago I had upto 15 trades with the same ranking. I can't really complain, I have had lots of luck to get me where I am, it has just dried up :)

Habs, Once again, I'm in the same boat... I had like 12 trades as little as 10 days ago.. I'm down to 4 and have stayed around the same rank, which is about 20 below you....

I had 20+ trades like 10 days ago, have used about 10 of them and have done little to move up in rankings, and more importantly am still over 1000 pts back of the division leader! :P

Using up trades on goalies hasn't been too productive for most of us lately. I had Lalime & Brodeur for last night, but neither played.

I think Roy is the only widely held goalie who is in the top 10 in TSNPs over the last 15 days. Dunham, Theodore & Turek lead the way by far and aren't on too many teams. With playoffs near and teams resting their #1's more often, maybe the guys on the lower teams are the way to go.

Why not Hejduk!
Why not Hejduk?

Oh well, super solid day still with 506 and 3 guys to go. If only I took Hejduk instead of my differentiator Hull.

I went Iginla->Hejduk
Pretty happy so far. I could have done better with Tanguay though.

Excellent day! I have jumped on the Avs, and with 6 of them on my team, I have 694 points, with 3 guys to go. It's the first decent day I ve had in what seems like weeks.

6 Av's? Wow! That is some risky strategy, but it worked for you today I see. I try not to have anymore then 3 maximum from any team.

I have 4, but I usually ignore my D in those calculations, since my 3 have been holds since Febuary. (Lidstrom/Mac/Blake) Hejduk/Forsberg/Roy/Blake did well for me today, as did Lidstrom, but my Flyers bombed pretty bad.

All my 12 are done, finished with 610 TSNP. Nice!
