0 Subject: Starting Goaltenders

With only three days left, I'm guessing more than a few people will be rotating goalies. I thought maybe we could use a thread to indicate any information about which goalies are definitely starting on a given day.

Right now I'm looking for info on Cechmanek, Roy and Khabibulin... So far no luck, but I've only looked in the Denver Post

I can't find squat, except a mention in the Denver Post that Marty Turco said he will start on Sunday against Nashville.......

I can think of one goalie who will almost surely start both tonight and tomorrow. I'll give you a clue - he will surely start tomorrow if he doesn't lose tonight :-)

Yeah Vlad, Dunham probably will start tonight and tomorrow (provided a win tonight), except I already have Broduer and never like having two goalies in the same game...

With the Caps' playoff spot locked in, Kolzig will rest for Saturday's season finale against Pittsburgh, the Washington Post reports.

There is no definite word yet, but with the Devils clinching the division with this win, do not be surprised if Brodeur does not play against the Sabres on Sunday.

Brodeur -> Turco for me. I'm betting Brodeur doesn't play.

What'll happen in Tampa Bay do you guys think? With Khabi having a rare bad game yesterday, and a meaningless game tomorrow, do they rest Khabi or do they try to get him back on track before the playoffs?

According to the St. Pete Times, John Grahame will start in net for the Bolts.

According to home town papers, it looks like Turco is going today for Dallas but the NJ Devils left Brodeur at home for a rest while they travel to Buffalo. I suspect that Joseph will go for Detroit today but I couldn't find that spelled out with any great confidence.

Sunday's Denver Post:
Roy will start in goal today, which would give him an advance look at his first-round opponent if the Canucks win the division.

Philly News:

Hitchcock plans to rest some of his regulars and "banged-up players" in today's finale. Robert Esche will start in goal for Roman Cechmanek. Eric Chouinard, Todd Fedoruk, Marty Murray and Jim Vandermeer, all of whom were healthy scratches against Tampa Bay, will play.

Also playing will be Justin Williams, who has missed all but four games in the second half of the season following surgery on his left knee.

Everyone in the West is still playing for something other than St. Louis. So I'd have to think that most of those 7 teams will play their regulars.

Thanks for the information this morning. If Broduer OR Kahby would've had played today for sure, then I would've had a full squad. I decided on Turco and Roy from those two guys and Iginla > Naslund. Only 11 for me with Joey T being my only no show.

Good luck Dan!

Salo may have ruined it for me last night. The best of luck to you too, smallwhirled, as to the rest of you! It's been a great season, and hope you all enjoyed it as much as me!
