Spezza finds a spot on the Sens and makes 60 + points!
Panthers (enuf said!)
Thrashers Lehtonen makes an impact and they threaten for a spot in the playoffs!
Phily doesn't make the playoffs!
Blackburn is a finalist to win top goalie.
Any thought out there? |

Colorado finishes 9th in the West, followed by Dallas.. I am going to be realistic here, so I'm not going to say the Oilers will finish 1st in the West. Realistically, I think Edmonton will be 2nd or 3rd..

Actually..... Ira might have a point about the Avs. If Roy does indeed retire, look for the Avs to be pretty mediocre. Aebischer sucks, and is clearly not ready yet. (he started like 0-5 for the season) As for the oil.... well, they are in the toughest division, with minny and canucks there. So highest that I see them is 5th (and that's if marchant steps up)

Marchant will be leaving Edmonton in the off-season, so count that out. Expect Salo to be on the move aswell

I'm sure that if Roy retires the Avs would sign a proven FA.

Here's a crazy one....3 way deal with the Oil sending Salo to Phily, Phily sending Cechmanek to the Chech republic of the NHL (Carolina) and Carolina moving some young talent (of course non Chech players) to the Oil.
