I created the league with ID #28116. Please take a look at the settings.
The live draft is set on this upcoming Sunday, September 14, at 13:05 Pacific Time, which is 16:05 Eastern Time. That's the only good time slot I can find. I didn't expect it to fill up like that, as there usually are way fewer teams in hockey than in baseball.
The settings can still be changed. Please give any suggestions on how I can make it more appealing.

Ah shoot. I tweaked a couple of the settings from the default, so I suppose it's not quite "standard" anymore. If there is popular demand, I could revert back to the default.

I added a Utility spot, so the roster will now be 17 players instead of 16.
Also, I increased the IRL to 2 players, because, you know, players get hurt more often now than ever before.
I changed these because I wanted to get a tiny bit deeper in the draft.
I guess I'll just post the password here. If someone I don't know is trying to mess around (or if someone I know is messing around), I do have the power to kick him out as the commish. So please, identify yourself, perhaps by using an obvious team name. You can change the team name whenever you want, even after the season started.

TLW, we only have 4 people signed up so far. Are we going to make 12 by Sunday? Maybe you should consider putting off the draft for a week or two to get more people involved. With a live draft, it's not like we need to get it done before the preseason starts.

I tried. As I said in the original post, I wanted the draft held in October. But to my surprise, all the draft slots not in the morning were gone, except this odd one.
Yahoo should do something about it. We're still a month away. It can't be that full.

Yahoo often adds more draft times to its pools later. You should probably check the draft times periodically in case they do.
I'd join up but at the moment I don't know what my schedule will be like, and I don't want to sign up for a league that I might not be able to devote any time to.

Well, I'd be interested in joining (e-mail above if you need it), as long as the draft time isn't a problem. I'm in KKB's deep-roster football league and we just did our draft here in the forum. We were all able to make our picks at our own convenience, and all in all I think it was pretty successful. Just an idea. There have been league members missing at every live draft I have ever seen.

I would be interested in joining the league.
I have a reasonable knowledge of hockey, but have never been in a rotisserie league, so it might take some time for me to catch on to some of the intricacies of this type of pool.
For example, the maximum number of players is 17, but there are only 15 starting positions, two of which are IR. I would have thought that the IR would not count towards the starting positions.
Let me know if you are interested in me joining the league and I will sign up.

I think we don't have enough teams to have a deep enough draft.
PFB is only up for a slow live, so we have 8 teams right now, and that's too few. So unless a couple more signs up by tonight, I'm thinking of deleting the league.

With about 10 teams, look like the draft is going to be pretty shallow. I guess I'm not going to change it now even if I want to.
We could have added one each of C, LW, RW and D so that the roster size becomes 21. But I suppose we aren't gonna do that.

It looks like we're not real well organized right now. I'm looking forward to playing roto hockey this season but maybe this is just too early to get a group together for a live draft. I prefer a slow draft personally. At this point I'm still devoting time to my TSN baseball team and trying to get a good start in football too. If everyone wants to draft today then I'll be there, but I'm not really prepared for it (admittedly my own fault).
