0 Subject: Any up-and-coming Fantasy Writers Out There?

Just wondering if we have any fantasy hockey guru's out there who also happen to be up-and-coming writers. The reason I ask is because I've had someone offer their services to write a weekly fantasy football piece for kafenatid.net (it'll be there for week 2!) and I thought it would be cool to get someone to do something similar for hockey. Basically, it's going to be a "Who's hot," "Who's Not," "This week's picks," "This week's sleepers," and "Games to watch" type of thing. And yes, your name will be attached to everything that you write.

The downside is that I can't offer any money because, well, I have none to offer. The donations I get don't quite cover hosting costs, so I'm looking for someone who's trying to build a bit of a writing portfolio in hopes of bigger and better things down the road elsewhere. Either that, or someone who just loves fantasy sports and writing so much that they're willing to do it out of love rather than pay, just like I do with the site.

So, if you're interested, just drop me a line through the kafenatid.net feedback form. And/or, if you have any questions or comments you think might be helpful to everyone, post them here.

I plan to be, but I think I'll wait a couple more years until I know what I'm talking about.

How long do you expect the piece to be?

LeMoose, LOL!!!

TWL, it can be as short or as long as the writer wants. Right now, the football writer is likely going to hit on a few players for each category and just give some insight as to why they got picked for that category. I doubt very seriously that it's going to be something like an ESPN article or anything as far as length goes. Keep an eye out for the first football article and that should give you a better idea.

For anybody who may be interested, the Football Fantasy Brew is now up and available for viewing. This is along the lines of what I'm thinking of for hockey as well.

Well soon enough I'll be writing stuff like that for Swedish hockey. Swedish fantasygamers are missing (I hope) sites like kafentid and others so maybe my site will be successfull.

That seems a lot easier than writing like 3 pages full of words that requires humour.

I'm wondering, KKB, when do you expect the first issue? Is there a pre-season picks issue for Week 1?

TLW, that would probably be a good thing. You're the only one interested so far, so if you're still interested, the gig is yours. Like you've seen, it's not anything major. Just some content to keep things fresh.

On which day of the week is an issue going to come out? On which day of the week do you want me to hand it in?
