This will be my first year doing a hockey draft. I have the 1st pick is it better to get the stud keeper or go for the sniper? Any help would be appreciated.

My thoughts are to go with Martin Brodeur; or a stud Center like Joe Thornton. You gotta get a top player at a thin position, and goalie and center are the slimmest pickin's, off the top of my head.

Probably Brodeur.

The Goalies seem to be pretty thin this season. Without Roy, Turco, and questionables like Cujo, Belfour, Giguere, as well as good teams without good goalies (STL, PHI, COL, DAL), Brodeur seems to be the only sure fire this season.

Thanks, I ended up taking Brodeur 1st. Took Fernandez with my last pick as my backup.
