Anyone have any info on these two. I know Savard left with an ankle injusry and Nieuwendyk had back spasms, probably becuase of the B2B games for the leafs.

Here is waht I found on Yahoo : The tie ended the Thrashers' modest two-game losing streak, but the point came with a price. Marc Savard, the team's second-leading scorer, left midway through the second period with a sprained left ankle.

Thx Touques that's basically the info I had too, at least they have a couple of days off so we can hear something else before making a decision.

With so few teams going today, and the only way to get Morrison is by using two trades, I'll hold one more day to hear something more concrete.

I wish I had seen this before I made all my move this morning, I went from Niedermyer to Spezza, I would have went from Savard if I had read the news before....

Now I'm thinking of going to Cooke from Van who have a nice schedule comming up....

I made the move Savard to Cooke, I'm not sure if I pulled the trigger to fast on Savard but he has been paying in money and pts since the begenning so bail before the money drop...

Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that the Thrashers are unsure how long Savard will be out. I am leaning towards trading Savard, too, as ankle injuries in hockey tend to take time (see Leetch and Forsberg).

I am leaning towards Arnot for the $ and the fact that Dallas is high-scoring. However, after their 3 in 6, they have 3 days off. It would not be a long-term move. I already have Morrison, and am not keen about two Canuck centers.

After some re-evaluation, my main options (already have Arnott) look like Elias, Hanzus or Holik. None play today, I'm not really high on Cooke, he's never been more then a 4th line grinder, and 1/2 his pts this year came in one game. I'd bite if he was a couple million cheaper maybe...

So the consensus is to trade Savard, I don't have Arnott but don't think I'll pick him up. Think I might go with Holik altough Arnott will definitely net you some nice cash in the next few days.I dropped Niewendyk and Jillson today for
Morrison and Slegr, Slegr mainly because I needed the money for Morrison. Luckily I had 6 trades banked so this is when they come in handy.

Anyone have any more news on Savard, as if he'll be out of Wednesday's game or will he be playing?

Thanks.

Went Spezza-->Arnott (was $20,000 shy of Morrison. If only I did it this morning)

I have no trade left and it looks like Savard won't play the next 3 games :

That's the 2nd prominent Red Wing Allen's taken out this year. First Hatcher, now Zetterberg, though the Hatcher one wasn't his fault.

I picked Savard up Thursday....grr....Second guy I"ve picked and he's gotten injured within 5 days.

Not saving a trade for Savard will probably cost me my lead with the highest roster value tomorrow. Savard-Vasicek seems to be a popular move, and makes sense tomorrow, with Vasicek having an excellent upcoming schedule starting on the 6th.

Actually Jay-P my thinking is that he's not going down much because he wasn't owned very heavily before this week. Lots of people bought him but with their last trades most likely. So the people that have him are mostly out of trades and can't move out of him and thus bring his value down. He was unchanged in the basic game today. Might be a different story in the Ultimate version though.

I'll be surprised as heck if Savard doesn't lose as much tomorrow as he did today. Sorry Jay-P, but you did have a nice run at the top.

Yeah, he will go down 100 K tomorrow, Thursday will see a 150K+ drop, once he gets the red cross listed next to his name and players have more trades.

Dunham did not start last night against Dallas because of a sore groin. Still researching if he will miss any more games. IMHO, with Markaanen shutting out Dallas, it would be prudent for Sather to give Dunham some additional rest since his back-up is no slouch.
