Reject quickly. Think Theodore the year after his great year. Too much "ado" in the off-season, too short an off-season. Also, Anaheim seems to have another option in Gerber. Aebischer will get you wins, and I expect his save percentage and his GAA will be excellent.

Jump on it, there is no way Colorado will finish the year with Aebischer as their #1 goaler and anyway he will kill your GAA et Save% categories.
If shutout is a category in your league, this is a no contest.

The problem is that Aebischer will get more wins before the trade deadline than Giguere will in a full season.

Remember, this Anaheim team is not the same as the one that went to the Stanley Cup Finals. It's a crappy team.

Why are people so quick to jump on goalies having a slow start? Giguere started last season 2-4-2, with a 2.83 GAA, .899 SV%, and 0 SO in October. He finished with a 34-22-6 record, 2.30 GAA, .920 SV%, and 8 SO. He's really not too far off last year's October numbers this year with a 1-5 record, 3.14 GAA, .893 SV%, and 0 SO last month.

Further, just because Giguere was an unheralded goalie up until last year doesn't mean he's a flash in the pan. Most people, even hardcore fantasy hockey managers, didn't realize that Giguere posted a 2.13 GAA and .920 SV% in 2001 in 51 starts. Why? Because he only had 20 wins. Suddenly, his wins go up to 34 and he's noticed by everybody. The fact is that he didn't change much as a goalie. His GAA went from 2.13 to 2.30 and his SV% held steady at .920. In fact, his career GAA is 2.47 and his career SV% is .914. I see no reason to think he'll be worse than those numbers come the end of this season.

IMO, I'd take Giguere. Aebischer is good for more wins, but I don't think he'll beat Giguere in GAA, SV%, and SO come the end of the season.
