No surprises that today would see some big swings. With the expected Kovalchuk sell-off and the day traders moving to Ottowa (and us longer-term traders, too!), I made close to $500k in Ultimate and was largely trading to avoid losses, not make gains (!).

Bizarre. Already was holding Bonk and Tanguay, but moving Ilya to Hossa led to a net difference of $310k ($130 gain for Hossa and avoidance of a $180k loss for Ilya).

Even Lalime makes money on a day he is not playing. And don't forget Zidlicky. The gift that does not stop giving.

The Kovlachuk loss was so easy to detect today. Gotta love those heavily owned stud rotations translating into big time dollars down the road.

Spezza has been doing nothing but is going b ack up due to that schedule, boy I wish there was a viable C option besides Spezza on the Senators like last year.

Lang down 80 in ultimate and up 80 in basic. I know Lang has been hot, but he's the number 3 skater now or something with 23 points. Maybe he'll be another guy to solidify the center position later in the year, boy it's so slim over there.

Sakic Smallwhirled. That is who I am bettin on. Hopefully the money will follow some points now that Forsberg is out and Joe gets to center the hot Tanguay-Hejduk wingers. Maybe they will even double-shift him some so that he can be shared with Selanne? I dunno, but he seems to be finding the scoring touch a wee bit lately and I acquired him on Saturday hoping for some big games in the near future.

Good money day!

I also went for big Joe SAKIC, on colorado's first line... (I luckily traded out of Lang and Kovalchuk this morning)

I took Bonk on wing...Have Lalime in nets...

have a good day!

Hmm, Sakic would be the obvious choice if Forsberg were out...why didn't I think of that before? ;)

Looks like I'll incorporate him in the next few days.

Curse you Kovalchuk!!

Yeah I'm losing a lot of money on him. Knew he would lose a lot but was hoping for at least something bigger this weekend.
