0 Subject: How many Thrashers is too many

I'm currently holding:

Illya
Serge Aubin
Nurmanan...

Trading out of Sakic today and the best choice seems to be Savard, but that would give me 4 Thrashers.. It would make my team very boom or bust.. Thrashers play well, I score a lot.. Thrashers stink, I go negative.. Any thoughts from the gallery.. I generally don't like to have more than 2 skaters from any team...

Is Atlanta a decent team or have they been playing over there heads so far this year?

In my opinion 4 Thrashers seems to be a little too high, I personnaly have Illya, McEachern and Nurminen... When I saw that Savard was back in the lineup, I wanted him so badly, but my C at the moment are Holik, Thornton and Lang, who to drop???

In my opinion ATL are for real, I remember before the season start saying so, and that was before what append to Heatly and Snyder, after that I tought they would face some problem, but I was wrong.... Don't ever forget who's behind the bench, Hartley is a good coach who won the Cup with the AVS..... I even bet 20$ that ATL will be in front of MTL at the end of the season....

Savard and Illya have now proven that they are as good of a combo you can get right now, and with a great sked still, I wouldn't even worry about having both of them....I guess it's similar to when I was holding 4 and sometimes 5 Canucks at once a few weeks ago, as long as they are playing alright for their price, in the long run, you should be just fine. Aubin, MacEchern, and Pasi are doing that right now.

Just have some trades in the bank for the dropping period becuase their sked goes downhill pretty quickly when it starts, plus all those guys wil be heavily owned most likely, be prepared.

Now that Savard is back, Aubin and McEachern are going back to the back seat where they came from.

So then I'm hearing get Savard and when I see the right opp trade out of Aubin....

I guess I'll take the money and hope for the points..

Thanks for the input.

BTW, who skates with Savard and Illya??

From the last game (NHL.com shift chart), the lines appeared to be

Savard with Aubin and McEachern
Kovalchuk with Kozlov and Vigier

I would dump Aubin for Savard. Though Savard and Kovalchuk did not play together last game, if Savard is all healed and will be playing full time, he'll be re-paired up with Kovalchuk for sure. Kovalchuk slumped when Savard was gone and was put with Kozlov to see if he could produce. They are both LW so look for them to replay on separate lines or for Kozlov to play with kovalchuk and savard on the top line.

My two cents.

At the very least, Savard will be with Kovalchuk on the PP. I think if you can squeeze him in, Savard should be bought. I can't, which kind of sucks at the moment, but he's going to gain alot of cash, and Atl's schedule is solid short and mid-term.

Looks Like Savard scored 19 seconds into the game so I'll be picking him up tonight for sure. lol. He scored with assists going to Aubin and McEachern

I guess my main complaint is the dark blue on the arms is only on the one side? That seems kinda strange.

I like that colour!
I mean, it doesn't look that bad, except that I like things that are symmetric. They only have the shoulder stripe on the left shoulder and call that "being different". I say they're trying to save fabric!

If Lalime manages to get the win in a game he wasn't starting, was trailing in 3-0, and right AFTER I trade him... I think I'll quit.

If Ottawa wins, who gets the win? Lalime or Prusek?

Lalime. He was the goalie of record when Ottawa took the lead. Not sure if thats the exact criteria used, but I know for sure Prusek has no chance of getting the W.

Ugh. You think things are going well when your goalie gets an assist and has a shutout on the plate. Then, the goalie you traded away comes in, and wins the game for the opposing team.

This is frustrating.

Instead of quitting I went on a splurge and spent my remaining 4 trades. Felt good. Maybe I'll trade it again tomorrow night. ;)

in a related subject....How many Flyers is too many?

I've got Roenick, Kapanen, Pitkanen.

Now I was just actually considering Hackett and Gagne (or Amonte)

:(

I would not get Hackett. There are more goalies that play more regularly.
