Subject: Trades Wed Dec 02

Traded Holik- Datsuk. Was wondering what people thought of these moves Hossa - Hull , Zidlicky-cheapie d possibly Tanabe, and upgrade R Robitaille - Weight after Wednesday's games. Doesn't gain me any games but I don't lose any either. I just have a feeling that Hossa will explode as soon as I trade him. |

Well I don't play Ultimate but I wouldn't trade Hossa just yet if I were you. Getting Tanabe isn't that bad of a move. He's starting to produce and he's reached his rock bottom in price. Another decent option at defence is McCabe from Toronto. He's at around 3.5-4 million but he's Toronto's #1 d-man. Gets PP time and Toronto is winning right now.

I'm looking to make only 1 of the following...
McDonald -> Datsyuk
Aubin -> Thomas
Datsyuk and Thomas are skating together with Hull... It's been a solid line for the a little over a week, if the chemistry can stay strong either pick will be OK.. Any thoughts on which of the two moves would be best??

I chose Knuble and Shanahan instead of Hull. Here are my trades for the week:
Savard --> Datsyuk Holik --> Draper Stillman --> Shanahan Bonk --> Knuble
No more planned trades until getting back Zidlicky on the 11th. All my forwards are Bruins, Wings, and Flyers. Lots of games, lots of talent - time for my teams to get going!

Weight has a higher TSNP/game, more balanced sked the next 3 weeks, is cheaper and is not owned by as many teams as Morrison. I'd go for that.

Depends if you're going short term or long term. Short term I would take Morrison for the home stand but if you're looking for some long term option I would take Weight. Having Bertuzzi and Naslund as linemates doesn't hurt and he's just coming off a hat trick.

Which goalie does everyone have. Right now there doesn't seem like a lot of options. Was thinking of trading into Hasek but he's seems to be injured most of the time.

I traded:
lalime-->aebisher eaton-->suchy Mcdonald-->Datsyuk
hanging on M. Sundin, J. Roenick, Nagy, Recchi, L. Robitaille and M. Lapointe, Souray, Pitkanen and Brodeur for now...
What a great year! Don't you guys think its a great fantansy year-fight? There's no real obvious choices...and no non-sense money trains...
great!!!

I moved into Datsyuk, Thomas, Naslund and Aebischer. Still trying to make some money.
Still holding both Visnovshi and Zidlicky and only one trade left. I think I'll stay with both a bit longer and save the trade for a dire emergency. Of course, Visnovski could already qualify for the dire emergency and Zidlickly could join him any day now.
"When in doubt, do nothing" is sometimes a safe strategy.

Went Hossa-Hull comparable production better long term sched, Nurminem-Aeb gonna make money and on a better team not a great sched but no B2b's,Zidlicky-Leopold needed the money and Leopold has little to lose, Robitaille Weigth, Robitaille just pissed me off lately and Weight although not a great sched isn't bad and should produce more.

Anyone going into someone other then Abby?

Abby looks great right after Christmas, when Colorado has 4 straight weeks of 4 games. Khabibulin and TB have 3 straight weeks of 4 games after the break too.
Until then though Colorado has the worst schedule in the league, so no Abe for me. TB has a decent-to-good schedule though, so I snagged Khabi a few days ago, and took Theodore today to hold until I can move to Abe. Montreal has a very decent schedule until the break, at which point he's gone.

I'm locked in past the point of no return with Conklin, well not actually, I do have the cash for an upgrade but I'm continuing to stay the course.
After round 2 of the Datsyuk vs Savard challenge, Datsyuk is now up huge, athough Savard hasn't stunk it up. I will go Savard > Datsyuk, albeit late on my Savard teams after Saturday's games.
Destroy* I think the competition is just tremendous this year, and hockey has actually firmly passed baseball as my favorite TSN game. This coming from an American brought up on baseball that lives in the south. It's really been a blast again this year so far.
tommyd, are you in a division of mine (2453). If so, well played so far. I've been on a bit of a run there lately going from 2193 on 11/17 to 479 WWR today. You've been solid throughout, I just wanted to congratulate you on your efforts so far and making me believe that it's not going to be a cakewalk for me.
Lang's streak stopped, and I'm feeling greedy, may go Lang > Thornton just for the hell of it.

smallwhirled, I am in the same division and it's been pretty tight so far. You've definitely been on a really nice run lately,(Rucinsky and Souray with those 100 point nights-nice picks).Actually it's the only team I have this year so I've been putting a lot of time into it.I'm sure it will be close race all the way and good luck

Anyone with Naslund thinking of trading him? He's got a groin injury and they're hoping he's only out a few days. I've heard that before though. I'm eyeing Hull, but I'd really like to hold Naslund too.
Man, what a mess... I just got the guy!

I moved Nagy > Plaffy on one team and will do the same on another after PHX play CHI.
Who is trading there ATL guys tomorrow for the 1 in 4?
I'm still not sure why some of you guys picked naslund, I know he was on fire but the schedule wasn't there for me. I was eyeing the 14th as the best time to pick him up. I can understand though not wanting to miss any of his games as he is one of the best.

I already moved Ilya, and will likely hold Savard. Who do you guys like more, Hull or Palffy?
Die_Habs, I grabbed Naslund mainly because I had plenty of cash lying around, he was insanely on fire, and because I wanted him for their ridiculously busy after x-mas schedule, so I figured 'why not now?' Man, first Forsberg and now this... I should just stop buying anyone over 10 mil.

A team:
Savard > Datsyuk Hossa > Palffy
Not sure yet on my other teams. I will go Conklin > Kirposuff tommorrow because Kirposuff doesn't have a game today, and stick with my cheap goalie idea.
Cammeralli seems to have been demoted. I have no idea what I'll do there, but the sked is good enough to warrant a hold for a little bit.
I'm holding Broduer.

Decided on Hull, after he won 4-2 in a best-of-seven coin flip vs. Palffy. I've now got close to 8 mil in my bank, so I guess I have lots of options for my next move.

most people chose naslund because of the canucks next 5 games.. they are all at home.. 11-2 at home as of now.. i am not sure if i would hold naslund.. 80% he will miss todays game against the wilds.. not sure about the others.

Who is holding and who is going? Discuss :)

Well I don't have either and I play basic but it depends on how many trades you have. If you only have one or two I would stick with the Atlanta guys as Atlanta's been playing decently the past couple games and Washington is starting to play as they normally do.

I'd like to go Savard _> Thornton Illya -> Pallffy, but am a few 100k short of the cash for those moves...
The only way I can do it, is if I also go Broduer -> Kiprosoff or Theodore...
Since I don't think I'm going to bother trading out of Broduer, I'll either get Iggy in the wing spot or find someone else at Center (I already have DAtsyuk and Roenick)...

As for the discussion part... I don't want to eat the price hits that these guys will take having three days off..
Of course, one could argue that their schedule is solid after the three days, so take the hit and save the trade as any money lost will surely be gained right back.. Which then of course means, I could hold Savard and just trade Illya -> Iggy....
I do have the luxury of 8 trades, but we'll have to see...
