Hi.
I went to the Boston Bruins wives charity carnival yesterday http://www.bostonbruins.com/feature.asp
and I was just wondering if other teams around the league do anything like this. Kids can sit and play PlayStation 2 vs a Bruin for example. Long lines for Thornton and Samsonov..but aa decent time.

Just wonderin.
Thanks

the flyers wives do a special event to raise money for the Barry Ashby foundation. This year will be the 28th annual event. It has been a huge success over the years.

Among many other things the Canucks help support the Canucks Hospice a lot. At the end of the year they have a telethon during a game where the players' wives take calls and donations. THis is in addition to the hospital visits, and other activities the players are involved in. They are quite active in the community.
