Time for a new thread.
I'll be moving Roberts, Sundin, and Datsyuk in the next few days. Was looking at Kovalchuk, Savard, and Comrie, but Savard's concussion is making me re-think that. Anyone else having second thoughts on Savard? Anyone have any real news on his concussion?

I have planned all along to go Draper>Savard and have been psyched about it. But I just don't know what to do with this concussion thing... I have the money to go to to Kovalchuk instead, but I am trying to rock out the mid priced guys who are overproducing so I can have more of them - i.e. Savard...

Now that I think about it I could go Draper>Sakic (who I moved over the weekend to Weight)... a roundabout way to arrive with that lineup, but its not too bad.

Still a couple of days to wait and see on Savard. No need to decide anything yet.

I'm picking up Comrie. Five games in 7 days + Primeau will be out for a couple of weeks, which means a little more ice time.

Comrie should make a lot of cash, especially if he keeps producing.. I'm very likely going Marleau -> Comrie

I'm tempted to go to him from Morrison, but my desired centers line up as Sakic, Weight and Savard. All have great schedules (after Weight's 3-day break) and all happen to lead all centers in TSNP/G. So Morrison -> Weight line up good after Van's B2B, and Sundin -> Savard whenever Mark is healthy is fine too.

So I think I'll pass on this one. Not like me to pass up money-making opportunities two days in a row, but you gotta go with your gut. ;)

Oh, and Kariya is playing tomorrow. Read it on the Avalanche official message board. Whoever posted the news left a link too if you guys want to check it. I'll probably go Naslund -> Kariya.

I would be waiting a few games before getting Karya...go with forsberg and sakic instead...at worst, karya will have these guys produce also...

What do you guys think of Ryder in Montreal...

Looks like Colorado will be fully staffed for their game against Columbus tonight.

After reading walk's link I'm pretty sure I'll be grabbing Kariya. (Already have Sakic and Forsberg.) He's been skating for a few weeks already since that didn't hamper his wrist any, and he's fully tested out his wrist in practice with full-contact drills. So he should be in decent shape and have no wrist problems.

It may be a gamble, but then I gambled with Mclennan and that turned out ok. :)

Tkachuk > Palffy
Sundin > Stumpel

Datsyuk > probably Sakic tommorrow

Then maybe an upgrade into the 4 horseman in a few days for Forsberg, Naslund , Palffy, Tkachuk.

as I typed that... I got this from Rotoworld.
I will put it in the Injury Thread too.

It is unlikely that Marc Savard will play in any of the Thrashers' next three games, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Savard, who sustained a concussion in Saturday afternoon's game against Montreal, did not travel with the team for this weekend's three-game western road trip. Keep Savard on reserve until next week.

Comrie -> Savard looks to line up perfectly, assuming Comrie doesn't go off big-time and deserve long-term keeper status, and assuming Savard is healthy by the time the Thrashers finish their roadtrip.

Oh crap, I am trying to trade out of this slump.

Following up yesterdays round, I went:
Datsyuk > Sakic
Pilar > Chara
Broduer > Aebisher

I can't believe I traded Broduer, but again, I'm trying to trade out of the streak.

Chechoo > Tkachuk in a couple of days before trhe game to give me the 4 horsemen, crossing my fingers on Palffy.

I also went Brodeur -> Aebischer. I can go either Nagy -> Tkachuk whenever I want, or maybe Palffy -> Tkachuk if Ziggy is seriously hurt. I might also move into Pronger from Leopold since I have extra cash lying around.

I just can't trade Brodeur. Its gotta end. It just has to. I am banking my season on it. I gotta stick to my strategy. If I lose because Brodeur plays like this for the whole year... then I still think I made a good bet. I picked the best goalie there was and tried to ride him. It didn't work. But I will just wanna kill myself if I pull out and he runs off a few shutouts in a row and gets going again.

Trying to convince myself.

Got sick of the goalie carousel I've been on lately Theo (injured) to Osgood (injured) to Kiprosoff(injured) to Belfour(injured)to Lalime (injured) granted the Lalime was my fault for not checking it out. Picked up Luongo, has a decent sched, plays most of the games and while doesnt get big points very rarely gets negative. BTW my other goalie is Aeb. Also will go Palffy -Tchachuk if Ziggy is seriously hurt.

Went Broduer -> Theo for a week.. after that I'm hoping to feel good about going back to Broduer...

Also went Sundin -> Sakic..

I made $640 in RV today.. unreal....

I saw Hossa and Jason Blake in my dream last night. Definitely a sign that I watch too much hockey. So of course I picked up Hossa on one of my teams. Picked up Nabokov on one of my other teams.

I have no required trades today.. But if I feel like Tkachuk will go up today, I'll move Walker -> Takchuk one day earlier than planned.. Neither guy plays today and with palffy being hurt, I would think a lot of people will go Palffy -> Tkachuk

Anyone considering moving out of Souray for his 4 in 12 starting on the 11th? I might need the extra cash (currently $350K short) to go to Tkachuk on the 14th, and saw this as a possibility. It would be Souray to Zyuzin, and I would get back to Souray on the 23rd from Leopold. My other option is to go Leopold to Zyuzin, which is what I thought I was going to do yesterday.
Difference in the two options is an extra trade to do the Souray shuffle, plus points cost (if any) and $$'s if there is a large movement out of Souray.

Destroy*, you've made up so much ground on me lately, nice run.

Here goes the trade bank I worked so hard on building up, I'm in absolute freefall now.

Palffy > Tkachuk I guess. Stumpel has been a horrendous pick for me now that he can't skate with Palffy. I need Naslund to pull me out of this freefall.

Red, my hope is that I can upgrade at that point and move Soura to one of Pronger, Blake or Chara and then get Souray back after he loses significant dollars from either Suchy or Leopold.... another option would be to grad whomever the masses migrate to out of Souray to make more money... but that would be an extra trade....

Is Souray going to leak money? Not sure if the time to move him is after his game against Pitt tonight or the B2B,but it seems this year it's better to move early than hold especially for the money.

Comrie -> Wieght.. Couldn't part with Spezza or Sakic
Walker -> Tkachuk

tommyd.. at the moment, I'm planning to gold souray until after the b2b.. he may leak a little over the next two days, but I doubt it will be significant.. after the b2b though he has 2 games in 8 days.. there I think will be the problem with such high ownership

True that's what I was thinking too because you dont' gain any games by moving him until after the B2B and he's been producing really well.I will probably upgrade the position.

There was no doubt that I was holding souray for today.. the question that still remains is on the 15th, he starts a 2 in 8... With as high as his ownership is.. He stands to lose a ton of cash.. It might be worth a trade if he's going to lose a boatload of money...
47Great One

This is the only thing... he is definitely up a ton and due to lose just by virtue of people cashing in. But there are no more then two consecutive days off, and at worst they are 3 game weeks. These huge nights are gonna definitely help hold off sellers too.

I - though always in the pursuit of money - like my chances of having Mr.Explosive Souray for 3 games a week vs. some other not as productive defensemen - which would be any other defensemen I guess - AND it would be a roundabout way to differentiate. And you will surely gain your money right back when his schedule picks back up. You only really lose the money if you sell him. I don't wanna start the opportunity cost money debate, but his price will come right back where it was and you will save some trades.

Thats my opinion. I am holding obviously.

AND finally... my patience with Brodeur paid off last night. Lets hope he gets rolling...

I haven't completely decided on Souray yet, but I'm leaning towards keeping him. Two trades (because I'd definitely want him back) to make maybe 500-750K is probably a decent deal, but more so earlier in the year then now. I need to save my trades to maximize what cash I already have, not make more...
