I agree with what Nike is trying to do, but I extremely hate it when the stupid Macromedia popup refuses to go away and completely covers up the links I wanted to click on.

Use the Google Toolbar. Completely stops popups. Don't know how I lived without out it before...

The Google Toolbar does not stop Flash ads (yet). However, you can download Mozilla Firebird at Mozilla.org if you would like to stop the Flash ads. I will warn you that Firebird starts to cross the grey area between stopping bad pop-ups and stopping good pop-ups (yes, there actually are some good ones) and doesn't offer an easy solution to allow the good ones that I was able to find at a quick glance.

I downloaded something called "No! Flash" and haven't seen one worthless-P.O.S Flash ad since. I also have the Google toolbar to stop the normal, annoying Pop-Ups. Bliss.

Of course, I can't recall where I DL'd "No! Flash" from...

I'm using Netscape 7, which, as far as I can tell, is the same as Mozilla. It has built in pop-up blocking. I don't have any problems with pop-ups that were not caused by me. The Nike Flash thing was the first unwanted pop-up I've seen in a long time.

I wouldn't mind that Nike pop-up if its close button actually closes the whole thing. But no, the damn thing just stays on top of the page and becomes unmovable and often covers up some link I want to click (usually the financial page).

TLW, Mozilla Firebird is different from the "normal" Mozilla browser (and NS 7). It's the Firebird browser that has the Flash Ad-blocking capabilities.

Oh man do I like that Google tool bar and No! Flash. Cool! I have downloaded both at home and at work. Nice!

:-)

I would also like to use Firebird at home, but that would confuse the heck out of my keep "it simple" inclined mrs., so I'll forego, for now. Thanks for the tips.
