Ok Everyone I need your help please. As I do ever year I am in a playoff draft pool. I want to know your opinions on what teams will go far, which players to pick and etc. I know that first round matches are not even close to being decided yet but when they do I would also like to hear opinions on who makes it past round 1. Thank you to all.

k thanks for the heads up there Tuques. My feelings for this years playoffs is that I like SJ to go far and my heart says TO. So I'm gonna say a SJ-TO final. For some reason I dont think TB will win the 1st round. And after last year(meaning ANA-Min west final) ANYTHING can happen.
Alright so lets hear some feedback please and thanks.

San Jose is an interesting pick. I personally like the currently struggling avs to pick it up and win the west. They have too much talent to not go a long way, abbey will be fine as long as the D holds up in front of him, plus they can win on the road better than any other team in the playoffs....

The East is a crapshoot.... I agree that TB won't last, maybe past the Islanders, but out in the second round for sure. IMHO thier best chance is for the Bulin wall to stand on his head like Giguere did for Ana last year.. The other D's will stifle that offense come playoff time. I'm going to say that Boston has the best balance and Raycroft will continue his rise to stardom in the league, so I'll pick the long struggling B's to advance in the east...

This of course could all change pending how the seeds fall, but for now that's my thinking on the teams.

I forgot to add one little thing. What does everything think about the top teams this year? We saw det, and col and TO all out in the first round, I believe. Could that happen again? I can see Col losing again and maybe Det, but 2 years in a row for teams like that is next to impossible.

Detroit probably not. Colorado might have to play Dallas in the first round who have been as hot as anyone. It all depends where the teams fall. I think Calgary could surprise big time and if Edmonton gets in they have been so hot they could do something too.Tbay gets past the first round, not sure past that. The east is up in the air - don't think Boston will do much either probably a first round bow out especially if they play Ottawa or New Jersey. Again it depends on who plays who- Tor probably beats Ottawa but loses to Philly whereas Ottawa beats Philly. Montreal is the dark horse and may surpirse, and of course New Jersey will always be tough.
