Well now that the matchups are set I thought I'd just make another post about the playoffs since they are set to go now. I think Mtl Beats Bos, TO beats Ott, Phily beats NL, and no clue between TB-NYI due to TB inexperience. Det beats Nash, Dall beats Col, SJ beats Stl and between cgy and vcr once again no clue. Let me know what u guys thing of my pics, please and thanks. |

I say East:
Boston will beat Montreal
TO over Ottawa (will be fun though)
Philly/NJ is a toss up.. have to go with my fly guys.
Tampa wins in 5....
West:
Det over Nashville
Colorado over Dallas
St. Louis over San Jose (this series too is a toss up)
Calgary to upset Vancouver....

In the East:
I want Mtl over Bos, but I know it'll be close. Boston definitely has the advantage.
Ottawa over Tor, probably go to 7 games.
NJ over Phi, I just think Brodeur steals a series more then Burke/Esche.
Tampa in 4 or 5. Tampa is inexperienced, but the Isles aren't exactly playoff vets either.
Det over Nashville, although Nash could push it to 6 or 7 games.
Dallas over Colorado, Dallas has finally been playing top notch, and Colorado struggled down the stretch, even in the games they won.
San Jose over St. Louis, I think Nabokov over Osgood will be the difference.
Calgary over Vancouver, Calgary has been playing playoff-style hockey all year, and I just don't like Vancouver's style (or goaltending) when it comes to the playoffs.

MTL over Bos (this will be a close series I'll say 7 games)
NJ over Philly in 7 (another very tight series)
Toronto over Ottawa in 4 (we've done it before will do it again)
West
Detroit over Nashville in 5
Dallas over Colorado in 7 (this series I think can go either way, but with the way each time is playing I'm going to give the edge to Dallas)
SJ over STL in 6 (Don't really see an upset here)
Calgary over Vancouver in 7 (Should be a great series but the way Calgary has played this year I'm giving them the edge)

Ottawa over Toroton in 7 we've never done it before so there is always a first time
NJ over Philly, Brodeur will do the difference
TB over NYI, just to strong for them..
Detroit over NAS, they can be upset 2 years in a row
STL over SJ, I can see this upset this year
Colorado over Dallas, in 7 one or the other
CGY over VAN, Vanconver hasn't got over the Bertuzzi incident yet...
