What's up with all these huge salary increases granted by the arbitrators when everybody but the players is trying to lower the average salary in the NHL?

The difficulty in arbitration is you compare the players talent to other similar players in the league and then you give a fair salary in comparison to the comparible players.. Unfortunately there are lot of overpaid players in the league and it seems the arbitrators are not taking the overpaid, less talented players out of the equation...
