Hi everyone, I don't know if this has changed in other sports cause I'm only playing Hockey, but it seems to me that the roster freeze changed from Noon to 11 PM ET. This seems to be odd to me, there are still games on at this time... Why would have they changed it from Noon ET, when there is no game at all.... If it's the case in other sports how did it affect your way of managing your team...
The past year, I could remember getting up all excited to see how many pts I did the previous night and I had all morning to figure out who I was dropping... I'm seeing some difficulties to do so with the new deadline....
Merci, Tuques |

The roster freeze depends on what time each game starts. So if there is a Pittsburgh-Colorado game at 9pm, the roster freezes at 9pm for all Pens and Lanches. You cannot buy or sell anyone from those teams after 9pm.
If a team is off, their freeze is 11pm.
11pm is also when the price changes are set to run each day.

The call it game-time trading, so instead of having to have your lineup set at noon each day, you only have to have your players set as their game time approaches. So you can wait up until game time before picking a goalie for example, instead of buying at noon and finding out at 5 pm that his backup gets the game.

Thanks J, I think I'll ask a more specific and simple question, I have until when each day to buy my players for the same night.... I guess you'll reply until the games of the specific player begins or at 11 PM if he's not playing that night....

Ahhh, game time freezes. It's been that long. ;)
Hoops is similar to hockey, and I had to play it just because there was no hockey last season. Let me tell you, it gets INTENSE at the end because you have to watch every starting lineup to get announced to see exactly who is playing.

Oh shit, and the games start in the middle of the night here in Sweden. It was perfect as it was before. The freeze was at 6pm before... finish the day ay work with a few trades or think on trades on the way home and then make the trades. Perfect

95% of the time you'll just make the trades whenever you want, like you always have. The flexibility is nice though, in case you can't get to them before noon (or 6 PM in Sweden) you can still get your moves in if the game hasn't started yet.
When it was introduced in baseball alot of us didn't think we were going to like it. After a few weeks we didn't even remember how it used to work.
