Ok I am trying this late team strat for the first time. Need some help doing it. I plan to have about a 5-7 day late team. But there are certain players like Grahame for example, that I know will make money right now and continue to make money as I finish off the rest of my roster. So the question is should I buy Grahame right now?

yes. If you think a player will begin to make money, buy him ASAP. You'll get his cash, but not the points.

Personally, I don't like buying players until I actually pick a start date on day late teams. I think that some of the very first trains tend to be very short lived. That is just my style though.

J is the king of day late teams, he knows what he's doing....so in that case buy em'.

Again, this is just me, but if I'm doing day late, it's not for the RV, but it is more for th extra trades. This allows you to be extra aggressive making a lot more money than everyone else once we get into the flow of the game (week 2/3 and on from there).

I'll be going day late, along with my man bookie. I have 3 teams, I drafted one, and we'll do two day late teams.

Ideally, I'd plan on drafting my team over the weekend, but that's when I have the least amount of time to do so. So, it'll either be Monday the 10th, Friday the 7th or maybe somewhere in between.

I do find that day-lateness gives me mucho roster value and much extra trades, so there's a nice benefit. I've been able to make up the ground, too, from a poiints-deficit, but the competition is tougher every year, and I dunno how well I'll do this time around.
