Since TSN doesn't seem to know what it is doing, does anyone want to share the bigger price movers that they have seen.
I have seen Ovechkin up $40, Jagr up $40 and Grahame up $50. |

Legace +50k
Bochenski -10k.
Is it just me or does gravity not seem to exist?

I see Legace at +30k.
The price changes seem to be much smaller than I would have anticipated. I haven't seen anything greater than 50k.

Should the price changes be substantial though? I mean i would imagine that most teams have held on to 4 of the 5 trades at least, so not much activity would lead to smaller gains.

In the free game they're showing Garon with a $2.63M price gain. I knew I shouldn't have swapped Graham for him. ;)

Re: Post 5
People on this board who know way more about this than I do have said that the price formula is based on percentage of trades, not the total number of trades. So, there is usually more large gains and losses on days when fewer trades are made.

its a mistake, he still cost 4,500,000. Thats what he started with.

Post 7, only if those trades are concentrated on one or two key players. In this case, there was probably enough differentiation to have only a few top 50K.

These price movers are surprising to say the least... Not a typical start at all.

Don't forget most people probably started the season with guys like Grahame, Jagr, Ovechkin. So there really isn't much more ppl that can buy them.

A total of four players with changes greater than 10k. Only 27 players with a positive price change. This does not look right.
I wonder if they are using a smoothing formula like they do for starting pitchers in baseball.

There is always a smoothing formula Little M. This is so players cannot gain or lose ridiculous amounts of money.
Well it seems they changed for formula for gravity. Now gravity is -20k instead of the usual -10k. So it would appear it requires more buys than before to gain in price. That is to say the threshold for player ownership has increased.

Gravity was always -20k in all TSN games.

If I remember correctly, gravity used to be -30k in hockey and then they reduced it to -20 a couple of years ago.
