After the montreal game, Ottawa players should get dumped. I game in 9 days, how should you pick?

I see a lot of moves into VAN players - Morrison, Bertuzzi, and Naslund will likely see a lot of buys from Lemieux, Crosby, Spezza, Heatley, Ovechkin, and Palffy owners. Short-termers might move into ATL for their 3 in 4 but they'll have to move on quickly.

I was thinking about Atlanta's offence....Savard, Kovalchuk, Hossa, bondra...?

I am assuming Svatos has no market with the Col schedule? He put up monster numbers last night.

We should a get weekly trade thread going.

I've only got Bochenski to move, but no idea who to move him to. I could go after some quick cash with Vorobiev, but id like to keep whomever i bring in for longer than a week...

1.

Naslund's the only one of the 3 from Vancouver i would trust to put up numbers right now. Morrison's been strugling and Bertuzzi's got an issue with his back which has kept him off his game. I think Nagy may see some buys as a result of his schedule... I know im seriously considering him as a long term solution from Palffy.

It appears TSN is again late with their stats. Although Price Movers seemed to go off without a hitch. when I was working for TSN, the usual culprit of a failed stats feed was the stats company sending a funny character out of place on the feed or something.

Lets hope that is all it is.

I was also looking at Phoenix to replace my Sens/Pens guys.... Looking at Phoenix, Saprykin seems to be a good choice but he's on the loosing side money wise...

Nagy hasn't done much but he's only back since last Sat... Doan good be a good pickup also..

How else then Phoenix to consider, maybe Dallas, I already have Guerin... Vancouver could be a good pickup but like someone said there seems to be only Naslund there...

Who to pick at Center to replace Spezza tomorrow??

Who replaces Palffy in Basic? In Basic he can be replaced by either a winger or a center.

I'm thinking either Demitra or Nagy. Nagy has 6 games in the next 10 days (and 11 in 20), compared to Demitra's 5 (9 in 20), but Demitra has been hot, scoring 11 points in the preseason and 4 points in 3 games so far in the regular season.

Meanwhile, Nagy has just come off an injury. He scored in his first game back, but it was his only shot on goal and it was a penalty shot. He seems like a bit of a question mark to me.

I'm leaning toward Demitra.

I actually think the sell-off will start tonite. That is why I am looking at how to get Demitra.

Lang => Spezza
Jagr => Heatley
Hossa => Gagne
Pronger => Redden
Lundqvist => Hasek

Lundqvist train is over with Weekes return and Jagr will bleed enourmously over the week-end.

So you guys are positive there won't be any relevant games cancelled due to that b*tch Wilma?

Edit: I just read on Yahoo that the first evacuation orders have been issued for the Florida mainland.

The final decision on tomorrow's FLA - OTT will be announced "today" as per league sources. I'm assuming tonight's clash between Tampa Bay and Ottawa is not in danger of being cancelled.

The National Hockey League announced today that the Saturday Oct. 22 game between the Ottawa Senators and the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., has been rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., due to the imminent weather conditions that are expected to impact the South Florida area as related to Hurricane Wilma

Well that's a bummer, although it was certainly in the air... Now what to do with the Sens, to buy or not to buy all 3 I had planned to.

I just got shafted.....I had every thing all planed out....and this really is a bummer for my team...I have 2 trades left....now have to get out of :
Luoungo
Speeza
Jagr
Who should I keep, reminder 2 trades left for 3 players....?

I don't think it's worth it dumping Spezza as you just added him today... After today's game they'll have 1-in-5 which is not bad enough for the masses to get rid of him. Jagr, however, will drop like the fat kid in a game of dodgeball today.

Why are you shafted? I'm guessing the majority of managers are in the same situation. You may not get points but you will gain RV.

Not getting Zetterberg here...Heatley and Gagne instead for me.

Jagr needs to be dropped after Saturday, for sure. The only way a hold is acceptible is if you're out of trades. FWIW, I sold Jagr, the money gains wil just be too good.

What I actually did was:

Horton > Spezza
Jagr > Gagne
Naslund > Heatley
Lilja > Lidstrom

Williams > Forsberg (tommorrow)

Ottawa's schedule is at worst average till 11/5, even with the postponed game. I'm going forward with my own moves to get Spezza and Heatley.
