0 Subject: TSN player price change

I don't like the player price change at 11 pm. It's harder to keep track...! It was way better in previous years, when it was at noon. It was more exciting then to wait the next morning to see the new prices after the games.

so stay up later :)

I like it alot better this way because I can come home from work and research right up until game time. When the freeze was at noon, sometimes you'd have to make decisions 24 hours before a game started!

I agree with J... I like having the entire day to ponder what moves
to make. I do however think that you should be able to purchase
players while they are currently playing or after their game but
before the roster freeze. Obviously, you shouldn't be able to
receive their points but the reason being for money. Say if I
didn't want to jump on the Svatos train because he had a bad
upcoming schedule but he scored a hattrick, I would be more
likely to take the quick money gain knowing that he could make
a tonne more money in spite of a soft schedule because of that
3 goal game.

In baseball, you could buy players that were frozen for the next day. There was a page that took you to the "next" day. I'm hoping TSN adds this feature, they may. They know that is does actually work, so it should be easy, but then again, this is TSN we're talking about.

I wouldn't like it. There is only a small window between the time a game starts and when a player becomes unfrozen. So whever is available for those couple hours could have a huge advantage.

Huh, confused by that last post. I'll go over the scenarios....

Old game: 12 PM (noon) freeze. You had a 24 hour period to get a player on your team before the next freeze. But, decisions on player had to be made before all of the news came out. Although it was consistant.

New Game: Everyone is frozen until 11 PM. Depending on the next day's game time, it leaves a much smaller time window to buy players. It does allow more time for news to become available.

What I was saying was, you could, right now at 6 PM, make a trade FOR TOMMORROW. It would be reflected in tommorrow's price change. You'd get no points or RV from the trade today. That did help for people who had less time.

I don't see why TSN couldn't add this, but I don't know.

Oh I was responding to Jay-P's post that says allow a manager to buy a player to get price updates for today, but not his points.

I agree with what you are saying smallwhirled. You are basically combining both aspects. But I'd go even a step further and say allow a manager to make a trade for tomorrow, even before todays game starts. I think this is what people have talked about for a while now, pre-defined trades. This would be great for people who like to leave town on weekends or whatever. They know exactly what they want to do, but they have to wait to do it which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I guess complications would arise since you have to specifiy exactly what time you want to make the trade. And it becomes harder if you want multiple trades. You have to tell which player(s) to sell first to get enough money.

I believe the roster freeze is the most complicated issue and most people are having a hard time understanding.

But once you get used to it, you will wonder why it has not been like this the entire time.
