Wilma postpones Saturday's Caps-Panthers
NEW YORK -- Hurricane Wilma may be gone from South Florida, but still is impacting the Florida Panthers.
The NHL announced Tuesday that Saturday's game between the Panthers and Washington Capitals has been postponed due to the impact of Hurricane Wilma on BankAtlantic Center.
No makeup date has been announced.
Hurricane Wilma struck South Florida early Monday as a Category 3 storm with winds of 120 mph. The Panthers had their game last Saturday against the Ottawa Senators postponed due to the threat of the hurricane.
Florida plays at Pittsburgh on Tuesday before visiting Philadelphia on Thursday. The Panthers' next home game is scheduled for November 9 against the New York Rangers.
