This is a shot in the dark. I went to the ice skating thing at Rockefeller Center yesterday and this guy fell and smacked his head and there was blood all over the ice etc... It was pretty bad. Looked like NHL '94 for Sega in Swingers or something.

I left because I just didn't think it was right to sit there and watch as the paramedics worked on him.

I would like to know if the guy is alright, think that would be reported anywhere? I looked through the Times a little but didn't see it. I guess if he didn't survive it would have made the news for sure, so I will just assume he did.

Did you see him going down, was it "your skates escaping you" -kind of affair with him falling backwards, hitting the back of the head square on the ice? I think that's the biggest momentum impact and the most dangerous.

Yeah his legs went out from underneath him and then the back of head snapped back as his body hit and whacked the ice.

Like Wayne Chrebet a few weeks ago except no helmet and a lot harder surface obviously.

Hmmmm. Hope the guy got away with a concussion and a few stitches.
