As you all should know I haven't been playing smallworld hockey till this year. Has he/she always been high throughout the seasons, or is this a breakout year? I said it before that my goal was never to be #1 in the world, and it still isn't. But damn, to be so far behind a person is discouraging. And I didn't even make any tactical errors this season that I can remember. Sure I have been hit with some injuries and bad luck, but so has everyone else. I don't even remember how AnneHelene got so high. I just look at the top managers one day and I see this person hundreds of points ahead of the 2nd place guy/girl. Damn.

Even as I have sky-rocket in standings last month or 2, I haven't gained an inch on AnneHelene. I can't even see this person slipping up anytime soon. This week will be very key for most managers, as they will have to use a ton of trades. But I look at AnneHelene's team, and his/her team is in great shape going into next week. Sure he/she will have to make a few trades to get rid of players with bad schedules, but nothing close to the magnitude other managers have to do. AnneHelene has enough trades to comfortably make those trades anyways. Well played this year AnneHelene, well played.

She has played the game just extremely solidy. Out of the gates strong, and then never fell back on either front (points or RV). That's the reason you aren't making up any ground is her RV. It will continue to be that way too....it's a race for 2nd this year. A hell of a lot of teams in that race, but AnneHelene is too far ahead with her RV.

Oh, and being a rookie to smallworld hockey isn't a huge deal if you've played the other ultimate games. It's the same thing, and I take a TON of the knowledge and ability from when I used to play hoops to this game. Baseball is kind of a different animal, but hoops and hockey are very similar.
