Nightmare....
8 trades 8 accounted for
The next batch, 3 already with their name on them too, this sucks.

Centres 1/28 Gomez > Thornton/Marleau 1/29 Staal > Spezza 2/2 Modano > Thornton/Marleau (this trade could get moved up)
Wingers 1/28 Elias > Jagr 1/30 Ovechkin > Alfie 1/30 Nagy > Heatley
D 1/28 Rafalski > Boucher 1/29 Visnovsky > Redden
Goalies 1/29 Gerber/Lehtonen > Hasek
Not sure about the D. Redden is a lock. I'd rather save a spot for McCabe rather than give it to Boucher, but Rafalski and Visnovsky look like prime candidates to have massive price drops.
I'm slowly moving toward having 3 centres, 3 wingers, 1 D, and 1 goalie from OTT/SJ

Went conservative. Saving one of those trades down the road. Gagne > Alfy over Cheechoo.

Already have Alfie or I'd do the same thing as sw. Went to Cheechoo instead. Ten trades in the bank, 6 planned from now until the 29th. Another two planned with the next refresh.

Alfie trade paying off nicely already, 2G 1A, nice pick. Wish he could have waited until BOS to explode!

Moved Forsberg 3x to Marleau 2x and Rolston 1x yesterday.
Moved Gagne 3x to Cheechoo 3x yesterday.
[Immediate results obviously were not positive, except for the 1x Rolston move.]
Elias and Brodeur to Jagr and Lundqvist on Jan. 28 and Staal to Spezza on Jan. 29 and Ovechkin to Heatley on Feb. 1.
That'll leave me with zero trades going into Thursday's refresh on Feb. 2nd.

I moved Gagne to Gaborik yesterday and plan on dmping my Devils on Sat (Gomez->Thornton and Elias->???) and finally move Nagy->Alfredsson on Mon (1/30). That will bring me down to one trade. Of course, I have at least two more players (Brodeur and Hasek) I could drop with that one trade left. It seems like I've been one or two trades short all season long. I'll probably hold my goalies thru their schedule gap.

Today: Crosby -> Thornton Ovechkin -> Jagr
Tomorrow, I need to move Brodeur, Elias and Gomez.
Monday, Nagy probably goes to Heatley/Alfredsson.
Looks like I will be burning through some trades this week.

I am not sure why you are moving Crosby to Thorton. They have very similar and good scheules. Don't you have another option?
I don't have enough trades for the moves I want to make. Oh well. Yesterday I went: Nittyaka to Kippy Gagne to Cheechoo
Tomorrow I will:
Gomez/Jokenin to Thorton Elias to Jagr
Monday:
Nagy to Heatly/Alfredson
Have to stay with Brodeur, Ovechkin and Staal for the week......
Also no trades for d-men again.

Crosby has a 1 in 5, so I gain a game by moving to Thornton and miss any drop in salary from a Crosby sell-off. Also, Thornton has been out producing Crosby (49/gm to 42/gm).
I haven't made the move yet, so if you have any better alternatives, I would gladly listen.

Yeah Ira with the drunk posting! :D
I was hoping Ovechkin wouldn't drop so much!
Moved up some of my planned trades... no game advantage, purely for RV reasons.
Yesterday Staal > Thornton (have a feeling Staal might have a big game today though... at least I avoided a 120k drop on Staal)
Today Gomez > Marleau Elias > Jagr Rafalski > Boucher
Tomorrow Modano > Spezza Visnovsky > Redden Gerber/Lehtonen > Hasek
Monday Ovechkin > Alfie Nagy > Heatley
Wow, that's the most trades I've used in a few days than I've done in a long, long time. But most of these guys are seriously long holds, many of them can be held for the rest of the season.

All the way to Saturday morning with 5 trades in the bank I'm surprise and proud of myself...
This morning, I did :
Gomez => Thornton Brodeur => Hasek Gaborik => Jagr
Tomorrow I'll go :
Datsyuk => Spezza
On Monday I'll go :
Nagy => Alfredsson
This will leave me without any trade for 2 days, hoping for no major injuries...

I am down to 2 things and I am a 50-50 split. Hell, I'll share.
C situation: Thornton Gomez Staal
1) Gomez > Marleau, Staal > Spezza
2) Gomez > Vinny > Spezza, hold Staal all the way and be different.
Comes out to the same number of games/trades.

Did the same thing as you sw. But my original plan was to have Forsberg instead of Marleau!!. Did you end up trading Brodeur? I went the 'safe' route and picked up Hasek.

Anyone with a guess who starts in goal for Edmonton vs. Phoenix tomorrow? I am trying to steal a win in a H2H league to win the category.

here is what I did this time....
Originally, the plan was Gomez > Forsberg, but everything got screwed up.
Gomez > Marleau Elias > Jagr Broduer > Kippy
down the road: Ovechkin > Heatley Staal > Spezza
had Hasek already. Waiting on the defense, got Visnosky and Lidstrom who have those gaping holes pretty soon. Not sure what I'll do, if anything. Probably holding Ilya long term as a differentiator.

Don't know what it is, but whenever I make a plan to trade a player he turns around and tosses me a -30 TSNP going-away present. Maybe I should keep my thoughts to myself. ;) Gomez, Eliass and now Ilya. Good riddance!

Haha R9. Law of averages states that you should keep those players. Because surely next game they will have a huge game to bring them back to their season average.

If you haven't already picked up Hasek, you may want to wait a day. I unfortunately moved him an hour ago. Wish you could undo trades...
Ray Emery will start tomorrow night against Boston. It will be the first time since January 7th that Emery will be be in the Senators' goal. With four games this week, and eight over the next two before the break for the Olympics, coach Bryan Murray said it's Emery's turn. Adjust your goaltending rotation accordingly. I was a bit surprised with the Hasek news. He has just had three bdays rest, so he can't be tired. I thought that they would start Emery in one of the back to back games (probably Pittsburg and maybe NYR). I just goes to show how hard it is to predict goalie starts.

Anybody thinking about McCabe?
I think I'd want to wait until he'd played at least one game with no signs of reinjury, but if he does come back tonight, I might be thinking about him for tomorrow.

Just finished up my trades for this trade period by going with the flow Nagy->Alfredsson. I'm sure I'll regret using my last trade on Monday.

From a fantasy point of view I hate it that Emery plays so much, but from a realistic point of view it's a good thing they don't play Hasek a lot. The guy is 41 years old and I can't remember when was the last time he was healthy for a whole season. The Sens need him 100% for the play-offs ... they could dog it like Pittsburgh from here on out and still coast in.

Aaaaaaaaaaaah! Just watched the flyers tie the game with 1.38 to go on a beautiful deflection by Richards and then win it in OT on a crazy angle drive from the middle of the face off circle from Pitkanen. Ach! Pitkanen also scored the flyers' first goal on a wrister from the point deflecting off of Rucchin who tried to stop the puck in front of Lundqvist. Lundqvist was out of position on the OT winner, but otherwise played a great game. It was a great game, but I hate to lose, to the flyers! Jagr is awesome...skates around the entire opposition seemingly at will.
Forsberg interviwed during the game, out 7-10 days.

This has to be the night with the greatest price gains I have ever had, coupled somehow with one of the fewest TSNP with all players playing (except for Hasek) I have ever had.
One of my teams went up 920K. :0 :0 :0
I've had *weeks* where I haven't gone up that much.
