SW - I'd like to contact you via email about this year's Ultimate Baseball game but I've lost your address. Can you send me an email so I can re-establish contact?
Thanks Richard |

Not so interesting, RSF. I'm just trying to work out some login issues that one of my old Ultimate Baseball spreadsheets is having. It seems that last year's spreadsheet that I used for tracking my teams doesn't like the new Ultimate Baseball website. SW had helped me in the past so I went to that well one more time for technical help. Drop me an email if you want more details or can possibly help.

I was thinking more along the lines as KoGs... :)
Actually, if you wanted, I could lead you away from Spreadsheets and more into Scripts and Databases. More historical tracking that way.

RSF - I've been resistent to learning new things since Excel has been up to the task for so many years. However, I can always learn some new method, especially if mine is broken this year. Do you have a sample script you can send me?

RSF - I dug up an old VBS script that you, at least I think it was you, sent me a couple of years ago. It has the same login problem as my spreadsheet approach.
The basic problem is that roster info is held on a http://fantasygames.mlb.com/baseball/fullseason/ultimate/game web site and this site doesn't recognize sessions that log in via http://smallworld.com/crs/home_check_reg.html?username=user_id&password=pass
I haven't yet found a way to login to the fantasysports.mlb.com site via either an Excel VB macro or a VBS script.
Luckily there's still a bit of time before the season starts.

I think I sent an email. I got an error message, but did try sending twice.

RSF - email hasn't arrived. I put my work email on this note instead of my AOL email. Perhaps you will have success with this one.

Since we're talking about spreadsheets here, I'm trying to pull something together that will go to TSN's NASCAR game and pull down a list of rosters. Unfortunately my old computer that had my macros for doing this toasted out and I'm sorely out of practice, particularly on putting a login/password in the macro.
Anyone that can send me a sample query that goes out and grabs info from TSN would be doing me a huge favor - or even just posting the code for login/password would probably get the job done. Thanks.
