It's sure going well for me being an Oilers fan..
First, Dwayne Roloson gets traded here for a 1st
then, to sweeten the deal:
Colorado trades David Aebischer for Jose Theodore
I can't decide which helps my Oilers more..
Luke Richardson was traded to Toronto Maple Leafs for a 5th rounder
Mark Parrish and Brent Sopel form Isles to LA Kings for Jeff Tambellini and Grebeshkov..
Ville Nieminen from NYR to San Jose for a 3rd round draft pick.
What do I do with Abby now? Hold him for his games against Boston and Rangers? I think I'll take a chance on Roloson.. |

Just wow. The fact that we found a taker for Theo and his huge contract is stunning. That we actually got a player of any worth in return is shocking. That the player is actually a quality starting goaltender is just downright unbelievable. WOW!

I've just started my heart beating again since hearing of the trade... I know LaCroix likes to make last minute blockbuster deals (a la Roy, Blake, Bourque, among others), but holy hockey pucks! What was he thinking?? Everyone I've mentioned this to here in Colorado looks at me like I've just told them space aliens are outside stealing their tires....

Edmonton has to be the most improved team from this week's deals.
Anyone else surprised that Calgary didn't get a quality forward to spark their offense? They sure could use a good playmaking pivot to light a fire under Iggy.
