Carolina gets snow...
Anyway, I called this back in January after I saw the Thrashers play Carolina at Phillips Arena. The Thrashers were really hot and looked like good bets for the playoffs. They also had a very nice home winning streak going. The Canes just came in and obliterated them 5-1. After they picked up Doug Weight, I emailed my friends and said that they were my bet to win the Cup. Should've actually placed money on it since they were at 8 to 1 at that point. Nuts.

Well it does. Any amount of snow is more snow than I'm used to. People go skiing in Carolina. That's snowy enough for me.

I drove through the Carolinas in a snow "storm" (1-2") one time.
The number of pick-up trucks upside down in the median or attached to trees was truly remarkable.

Did anyone other than me notice the guy on the ice with the Hartfod Whalers shirt,during the cup presentation?
Needless to say the Hartford sportscasters made a big deal out of this.
some people here in Connecticut just never got over it.
