We have had 1 year of hockey since the lockout and I'm finding it hard to stomach some of these signings. Here's a few more signings:
Marc Chouinard to a 2.2 million, two-year deal. Vancouver.
Brendan Shannahan, 4 million, 1 year. NYR.
Tom Poti, 2.75 million, 1 year. NYI.

The lockout hasn't fixed anything imho. It's just a matter of a few more years before the financially weaker teams will start sinking again.

Shanahan for $4 million, on a one year contract, isn't bad. He had a really good year last year, and its only a one year deal. But there are definitely some bad deals being handed out.

Yeah, as I NYR fan, I like this veteran signing. The rangers are too one-sided offensively with Jagr, and Shanny gives them another alternative, and a shooter at that. If the NYR make the playoffs again, and both of these aging forwards are healthy, we'd be in a much better position to score some goals.

Nik Antropov for $1 million, with Toronto's limited cap space, is a bad deal. (With a capital Bad).
