Today: thinkin about Sedin>Tucker Sedin>Wellwood
I don't know what to do with Auld... I would have moved him earlier but ran out of trades, he plays Jersey and the Isles in the next 3 days.
Tampa and Toronto has great schedules starting today, but neither goaltender is that great.. Can't afford Giguere tomorrow.. If anyone wants to enlightnen me with the Auld situation that'd be great |

I know it's rather risky. But I sold Auld a couple of days ago, to Fluery. I know it's way too early to get a Penguin, but at the time my thoughts were that I didn't want to free up the cash to get Gigure ....but I also knew that I wanted Fluery in a little over a week. So instead of using an extra trade for an intermediary guy, I just went with Fluery really early.
You already took that hit with Auld, maybe play it out a few more days. No rush, there's not a whole lot there.
No moves planned for my teams as of now. Maybe Drury on my money team after the 28th. Made all of this week's trades on Mon-Wed for the RV bumps.

Guys I used one trade to get Aleexev. That lucky 13 was making me anxious.

Burning question is whether or not you should go Auld to Belfour. Nothing brings life to an old warrior in a back-up situation like a severe case of a starter suffering from an over sized "five hole".

Well, im an idiot for getting Raycroft from Theodore. How stupid of me to think that Toronto would try to respond with a good effort against Ottawa after getting pounded on by them the game before... Only to have them come out and be defeated by an even wider margin. Aubin's probably going to get the next start, and Raycroft'll be stuck against Atlanta, a surging Tampa team and that crazy Buffalo team. I should have seen this coming.
I may need to start thinking about investing in a quality high dollar goalie soon, instead of screwing around with these lowly jobbers...

I'm in the exact same boat Dienasty... I pick up Raycroft just before his games agains Ottawa I god screwed...
I'm not thinking of going with JS Giguere.... This would leave me with only 3 trade so early in the week kind a scrary...

I went absolutely crazy on my two teams today...
smallwhirled: Michalek > Straka Bernier > Alexeev McCarthy > Corvo trades left: 4
late smallwhirled: Drury > Spezza Michalek > Alexeev Sydor > Corvo trades left: 3

I'm beginning to see how you make so much damn money sw. Though I don't think I will ever have the stones to do what you do.

Hey KoGs,
You aren't doing too bad yourself. Rule number 1 to make money is "in early and out early." Are Michalek and Bernier worth thier prices? Sure. May they do better than any of these replacements? Sure. But the price is the one variable out of the two that you can dictate, so I generally take that route. Certainly not always, but that is my general trading pattern.
That, and getting your trades done a couple days before the masses. I rarely, if ever, make a trade on Thursday, wheras everyone else is happy to use at least 2 or 3.

Well, the king of making money is Dr. Doom of course. He sits back and lets everything play out, and then all of the sudden he has a 6 or 7 trade advantage ready to wreck havoc and make money where the real money is as some of the veterans would say....during weeks 3 and 4.
Week 1 and 2 money is always fools gold because it puts you in trade trouble.

Yo tuques, from rotoworld...
Brent Sopel sat out Friday's game with what the Kings' staff is calling a foot injury.
No further information was given. At this time Sopel should be considered day-to-day.
Question :
DO you think Ishould jump on to Alexeev or St-Louis from Sedin ???

I went Alexeev just for the money, plus I dont think St. Louis is outperforming Alexeev that badly so far

Holmqvist is set to start tonight for the Lightning.
With Bryzgalov getting a shutout last night, I find it hard to believe Giguere will start all 4, or even 3, of their next games.
Still have Auld.
What the flip.

Hmm, I just realized that Steve McCarthy was a healthy scratch last game.
source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution
• EXELBY RETURNS: Defenseman Garnet Exelby was hoping to make his mark as he got back in the lineup on Saturday after two games as a healthy scratch. (Steve McCarthy was scratched for the first time this season.)
With a deeper and stronger defense this season, minutes have been harder to come by, and Exelby, who averaged 15:40 per game last season, has been reduced to 12:05 per game.
"I don't want to be a fifth or sixth defenseman and be in and out of the lineup," Exelby said. "I'll do what I have to do to stay in the lineup."
=====
I wonder if he's going to be in and out of the lineup from now on? Decisions decisions.

yeah that sealed it. Not sure who I'm going to move to, probably someone even cheaper to free up some cash to enable a Kopitar > Malkin move soon.

Camallari => Malkin (no-brainer, pts ans $$$ to come)
McCarthy => Ryan Whitney (very little owned so a nice differentiation pick, possible $$$ to come if he continues to put up the numbers)
Kunitz could go soon, even considering his favorable schedule. I'm feeling trigger happy. Possibly Walker (Carolina), cheap, playing with Staal, good sched, $$$ potential as well. I'll give it a few more hours to brew.

I too have been considering picking up Walker (probably from Michalek or Bernier), as downgrading McCarthy doesn't free up enough cash to go Kopitar > Malkin, and I want to do it today or tomorrow.

Anyone thinking about Pyatt for a cheapie option? I think I'm still going to go for Walker but at under a mil and playing with the Sedins, Pyatt looks like a huge bargain.
