On 22th:

Shanahan=>Ovechkin
Sakic=>Yashin

Otherwise, only monitoring Mason and Weber. Weber will go sooner rather than later, while Mason is out as soon as Vokoun returns.

Jagr > Ovechkin when everyone else does the 22nd. Too bad anyone with half a brain will follow with this move.

Probably Norrena > Huet for Huet's first game after Christmas. It's Abby's turn tonight.

my 1/4 brain is following the jagr pack.
I'm going to shuffle the deck on a couple of teams and move Jokinen to Spezza after the 27th.
Also mulling over moving either Langkow or Briere to Higgins sometime in the new year (It's dependant on performance of course).

If it were later in the season, I'd consider trying to get Ovechkin off another slot and keep Jagr for differential but it's still too early for that.

Havlat, Hossa, Ovechkin, Iginla all have better schedules.

Postponed game Calgary VS Colorado... How's that affecting your trading plan, I'm glad I already traded Sakic to Federov yesterday....

I'm hoping that I can bridge Norrena over to Huet after Christmas, and hopefully it will jumpstart things for me.

You know what's the worst problem about all of this though.....I "had" Souray. I "had" Huet. I "had" Mason.....very recently.

Problem is, Souray got injured, sold because I had trades...and then I sold Huet to Norrena due to free up a little cash from Souray since I wanted to go up to instead of down off Souray. Mason, same type of deal, I had trades and I saw a schedule hole, possibility of Vokoun coming back, and an impending price loss (which did occur for a couple days) to Khabibulin.

I am out-thinking moves this year so far. I haven't really touched 0 trades this year, so I'm always making these late in the week RV trades selling off major price losers and injured guys...all the while, some of the guys I'm selling are making quick comebacks either points or RV-wise.

I can't count on two hands how many times this has happened so far.

It's just frustrating, but I'm getting there in terms of RV so I won't have to play with cheap goalies anymore.

Still a ton of time left, but I need to start getting it going here pretty soon if I want to contend.

Not too say that 250-500 WWR is too far back because it isn't at all. It's just that a move needs to start pretty soon since the deficit to number 1 is around 2500-3000 TSNP from that range.

As a whole, the non-gurupies have improved over the last couple of years, so I feel it might be a little tougher to start the late season charge if it doesn't begin happening before the ASB.

Those with Sakic should defintiely sell now with the postponed game. Lots of options around.

For teams holding Spezza, TSN.ca has announced that he is out 4-6 weeks with a left knee injury.

I did
Jagr > Ovechkin x3
Straka > Cleary x3
Spezza > Yashin x1

Cleary move may help enable a Mason > Kipper move when Vokoun comes back.

Either that or 3 stud D - we shall see!

Did anyone see or hear about Briere's cheap shot on Ovechkin? Is he going to get suspended? Just wondering.

Cool, good luck? Earthquakes? Whoa. I lived in San Francisco for five years back yonder, and know the deal. Hopefully, nothing serious.

Yeah, it's been rumbling in the west for a couple of days. Will it have an effect on the Emerald Bowl? Doubt it.

Yeah, it sucks without Doom's site working.

Still no news from what I can see on Briere...he should be okay then, no moves needed. If something comes out, maybe Briere > Higgins.

Jokinnen > Lecavalier - long term hold
Phaneuf > Pronger - Pronger is cheaper that Phaneuf.

Here's a short term trade for you,

Yashin (1 game) > Thronton (3 games, inclunding B2B against Phoenix).

I thought about it and went to Fedorov for my short term move.
He's cheaper and he's outpointed Thornton when compared to their upcoming opponents.
Thornton:
Pho 103
Dal 24
Fedorov:
Det 125
Min 170
Chi 64
However, in this game things have a way of evening out.

If you do Yashin --> Thornton/Fedorov today, what do you do on Monday? Go back to Yashin? I'm not sure that it is worth two trdaes, but I will look at the options. Thanks for the suggestion.

Its only a short term move....to jump on the 2 games against Phoenix...hey, I love to try different moves...and trading + analysing is so much fun...!

was also looking at Carolina with Staal

They give us 5 trades....why not use them, it has been my philosophy this year. Including the strategy to always have players playing on a Sunday and Monday...now you know my tricks !
