New thread for those who wanna share...

Did Yashin > Lecavlier today. No other moves planned for now at least. May attempt to get TB or Mon on the 2nd. May attempt to add some Ana or Crosby on the 5th.

First negative RV day of the year for me. Fitting that it comes the day trades come out, when I have 7 sitting there but I see no reason to trade Langkow, Iginla, Ovechkin, Hossa, or Phaneuf (yet).

Same with me. I am normally a tradeaholic and am trying to break myself from that habit. No trades planned until Tuesday when Ovechkin and Semin get moved.

rough few days RV-wise for my teams last few days. Only trade I made was to replace Elias when he went down with an injury, and then he only missed one game. :( Now I'm losing big money on his replacement, Yashin. Ugh.

Kept Mason, because it doesn't make sense to me to trade hot goalies with good schedule remaining. However will likely move to Kipper/Miller/Hasek/Lehtonen after Mason's B2B due to the 1 in 5 (or 4 in 12) - hopefully he'll get both games.

Also kept Havlat, as it just didn't make sense to me to spend 2 trades to gain 2 Semin games. If I'd realized the RV swing would be so huge though I would have done it. Definitely missed the boat there.

Yashin and Iggy price drops seem nonsensical to me.

This low-volume holiday price instability is really annoying if you're not really paying attention. Good opportunity to make quick money though, if you are!

Time for me to switch Semin back to Havlat.
Keeping Ovechkin.

By the way - Happy New Year to all of you!

I'm also getting Havlat back today. But I'm not sure which Washington player yet. I'm gonna give it some time to think about it, and decide later today.

Ovechkin has more potential, but I also think he may lose much more money before the sell on 1/2. I might hold Semin instead of Ovechkin if I think there is that big of a differential.

anyone looking at forsberg? i have higgins on my top team and he has been disappointing thinking of during a 7 day switch to foppa - was the last game just a fluke for peter?

Forsberg might be worth a gamble. While Higgins is always a nice value pick and has a really good long term schedule starting the 2nd...I don't think you'll ever look back and say, wow what a bad move by selling him. The top-end point potential on Higgins really isn't the high.

I also decided to keep Ovechkin and sell Semin today. No matter which way you slice it, the both Washington players are going down huge today. Cleary's 12 in 21 with his huge games last week give the lower RV teams with itchy trigger fingers a really easy option. Team that up with Havlat today, and the Washington guys are going down huge.

Hopefully the differential in price between Ovechkin and Semin isn't that huge. But who knows, it may be.

If there were a B2B to grab today (there aren't), I'd consider it, but I want St Louis on Jan 2, and I have no other outs with Iginla and Hossa.

Oh well.

Happy New Years eve everyone.

Reagardless, holding a Washington player for 2 more days is probably going to cost you around 300K.

I haven't made a trades in a week, and have the RV losses to prove it. So, today I do:

Semin -> Havlat
Blake -> Cleary

I wasn't planning the second move, and feel like a lemming for doing it, but sometimes the crowd is right. It gains me 2 games long term and hopefully some RV. If it busts, I have the trades and the money to get out.

I am holding Ovechkin for the Phoenix game and hoping for mega-points to offset the RV loss.

I decided to do the Semin > Havlat move and
keep Ovechkin for his next game. Also
monitoring St Louis on Jan 2.

This was one of the bigger swing days I've seen this year with using 3 trades.

Did Ovechkin, Semin, Mason > Havlat, Cleary, Hasek on a team for a $780k swing.

Ovechkin with 45 points is not huge, but better than Semin's 18 and Havlat and Cleary's 2 yesterday. So it worked out points wise, but those RV hits still hurt. Tomorrow Ovechkin gets moved.

Ovechkin > St. Louis x2
Ovechkin > Zetterberg x1
Mason > Brodeur x3

Mason was fantastic! One of my best moves of the season, and a few more good moves holding him when everyone else seemed to be selling. I think we've finally reached the end of the line though.

Mason -> Broduer

I was thinking about going to Miller but the timing just isn't right. He's got a 3 in 8 and is going to lose one of those starts to Biron in a b2b situation. This'll stretch my budget to it's limits, limited as it is. Hopefully it pays off.

I'm happy with the hanging on to Ovechkin over Semin a couple of days ago. Both lost hard money as expected, but that differential between Ovechkin and Semin wasn't too much (only 40K). I thought it could be quite a bit higher, and Pronger's broken foot helped the price loss even more so it's not so bad.

Ovechkin > St Louis x2 for me.

Same here, Ovechkin > St. Louis. I now have $6.8M and intend to upgrade either Briere or Langkow to Crosby soon. Then, I'll have about $3M to "upgrade" Khabi, maybe to Hasek, but there will not be enough cash to move to Brodeur or Kippy, who are desirable at this point. I may make a double swap and unload Phaneuf for a cheaper D-man to do this...something to mull over.

Khabi's 110 points made me change my mind. Decided to keep him for the moment.
Time to go Cole > Zetterberg.
Interesting move coming up jan 6-9th Miller>Emery>Miller. Tonight BUF-OTT will give some hint on that one.
