Glad i did not have Miller !!! |

Considering a few moves this week:
Yashin > Crosby/Elias/Lecavalier/Comrie (Fri) Briere > Lecavalier/Comrie (Sun) (and back on Wed??)
Havlat > Zetterberg/Heatley (Sat) (and back in 5 or 7 days?)
on a Basic team, where season 1 ends soon, will probably go Boucher > Schneider (Fri)

oh and I echo the sentiment about Miller... although having Briere wasn't fun last night either! I'm hoping I'm set at the goalie position for a while with Brodeur/Huet and Khabi/Huet.

I just realized Comrie was not skating on the first line. No Comrie for me

Briere > Crosby. Ironic that they play each other tomorrow. Could be a bust for that one game. Buffalo, has fire power. However, Crosby is the #1 scorer, and it makes sense to grab him now, nice $ swing, and then hope he will outpoint Briere.
Khabi > Hasek on 1/6 or 1/8. Hossa > Teemu/Zette on 1/7. Havlat > Teemu/Zette on 1/6 1/8.
I think I will have about $200k spare to make all of these moves. The Chicago players are cheap, and it'll take a lot of cash to move Khabi & Havlat to say Hasek & Zette. Fortunately, Hossa > Selanne creates some cash.
Havlat > Afinogenov is not a good fit, and I expect Havlat to take a hit on 1/6 even with the Phoenix game on 1/7. Zetterberg is a better fit (but that mofo is not cheap! - $6M).

Ouch! my team was cash strapped due to my goalies, so I decided to go Kippy (what a bust he was for me for the last 3 weeks) to Tim Thomas (I already have Brodeur). So far it looks like I will make the record for most negative points by a single player...anyone know this?

sounds like a broken hand...
not a whole lot of people to trade him to at this point.. Zetterberg perhaps?

Habs... if he did have the record, it didn't last long, with Hasek's -80(!!!) last night.
I think that may have been the worst outing of the dominator's career.
thank god I went with Brodeur and not Hasek. None of the Mason replacements (with the exception of Emery) has done well, it seems.
Today: Yashin -> Crosby
Hopefully we'll be getting good news about Iggy today...

The Calgary Herald says the official report from the Flames is a "lower body injury." Even the Herald says this was a curious diagnosis...I wonder how long he'll be out for, but I guess he's gotta go.
Iginla > Selanne Langkow > Sakic / Elias / Malkin. Havlat > Zetterberg (1/6) Khabi > ??
Sakic and Elias have been hot of late. They all seem to have the same # of games until the ASB, but I am not keen on Colorado's schedule strength after TB & Minn. They have many tough teams (Det 2x, Calgary, SJ, Anaheim). I think Pitt and Malkin have more inviting opponents, and Malkin's the cheaper of the three, which could be important $ to have for the eventual Khabi trade. Elias has a nice sched, too, and NJD are strong at home, where they have 5 of 8.

Sorry for you Hasek owners, I guess I jinx him! I am just thankful I didn't own the two of them together. I have had bad luck in the goalie department lately and can't seem to get any breaks on my top team. Looking forward to the all-star break and trying to turn things around!

Cleary > Nolan Yashin > Crosby Iginla > Smyth (gives me $$ to change Khabi into something soon)
Considered Iginla > Nagy, might do that with Hossa after 1/7
Sure am glad I didn't have Huet/Hasek in goal!

Langkow > Malkin Iginla > Selanne
I'm now going to use quite a bit more trades than I expected a couple of days ago, but it's alright, I have a ton in reserve.

Lots of movements for the moment. I go: Langkow > Crosby Iginla > Selanne My trigger is on Khabi > Emery... But I also have my eyes on Brodeur. The goalie situation is shaky. Maybe I go Malkin instead of Crosby to get Brodeur for a long term hold... Keeping Briere over the hole. Thats my plans for now - tomorrow is a another day.

Lots of moves for me as well:
Yashin -> Malkin Langkow -> Crosby Iginla -> Selanne
Tomorrow, I need to move Havlat and Ruutu and have no idea who to pick up.
At least I banked some trades over the past two weeks and have some excess RV, so I am not in too bad shape.

I don't like the Bryzgalov move, because the possibly imminent return of Giggy means that the move has a built-in expiry date, and the fact that Pronger has been replaced by... Ric Jackman??? on the blueline.
So I'm holding Bulin.

Team II - Havlat to Zetterberg Team II - Habby to Legace (gamble)
It seems like in the last week or so the players with low ownership and poor schedules have been putting out the monster games. My new strategy is going to be getting players with 1 in 5s and hope for 222 pts in the one game! :)

Holmqvist has NEVER given up a goal in the shootout. Unreal, something like 11 for 11

From Rotoworld:
Mathieu Schneider left Sunday's game with minor knee sprain. It is unclear whether Schneider will play in Tuesday's game. By all accounts, the injury does not appear to be serious. Consider the veteran day-to-day for now.
I'm holding Schneider on the one team I have him on.

And Buffalo plays Chicago, and Chicago has not exactly been a defensive powerhouse lately.
I think it's a toss up who will get more TSNP tonight, Malkin or Briere, but it's definitely not a toss up where the money will be.
