I'll open up Yahoo! shortly but I thought I'd get the show started and open up a thread for early trades, pre-season suggestions, or improvements.
Hopefully we can move on some of them.
Any changes to the format will need at least 8 of the 12 (66%) managers for a yay or nay.
Commish will review trades to ensure it's a fair and equitable deal.

Would like to stay in but getting married on the 16th of September and then off for a honeymoon for 4 weeks, so not sure how I'd go with a draft. I doubt I'd be able to get a placeholder for a year so might just have to go crazy on my draft queue if it's open by then.

Sorry to see you go, IAC. You were a formidable foe in this league.
Agenda items - I kind of like the way the rosters are configured now, so i won't be proposing any moves there in terms of position changes.
But I'm all for anything that may boost competitiveness from top to bottom, though.
1) Filthy mentioned a moves limit in the RGFHL 12 recap thread, i think it would be interesting - perhaps cap it at 50? That may encourage others to jump in on FA wire a bit more frequently knowing other teams might paying more attention not to waste a pick-up/drop?
2) Goalie hoarding limit. I know its done for varying reasons (injuries, defensive measures, stashing, etc) but i feel putting a cap of perhaps 5 active goalies (not including) IR would keep the wire for goalies more lively.
3) Probably most important at this stage, find a replacement manager for IAC.
4) A little bit of skin on the line? Not sure the best way to keep the money until the end of the season (escrow?) - but having some prizes at the end usually keeps things jumping in a lot of leagues ive played in.

I am in, but I am spending less time on the site, so I don't want to add a lot of rules and I am not interested in playing for money. If this doesn't fit with what most other people want, I am willing to step aside.
The one rule change I would consider making is with respect the IR listing. Yahoo made a change last season and added another category. I think it was Injury Reserve Plus, but my memory might be failing me. I would consider changing one, or both, IR spots to IR+.

Congrats Ira. Thanks for the competition over the years IAC.
1- 50 limit is an easy starting point. Only 3 managers have gone over 50 in past 4 seasons so most wouldn't notice.
2- Most of my moves are used streaming backup goalies so a max of 5 would probably only be a factor for me. I'm cool with that.
3- Probably need to have draft open and hopefully started by 13th or 14th to accommodate Ira, which is doable, but we need to confirm keepers and the final 4 (or 2) managers throughout this week if that is to happen. I'll poke around for interest on joining if nobody has any leads.
4- Not against it.
5- Curious about IR+.

1) I'm not a fan of limiting moves. Either you pick up FA players or you don't.
2) Unfortunately Goalie hoarding can't be enforced in Yahoo. The only option would be to reduce bench positions. If I can find a way in Yahoo without reducing bench players I'll definitely do it.
3) We have Toral, but need another manager for IRA.
4) not a big fan of $$$. We are a diverse global group.
5) I think we'll implement IR+ in place of one IR position. The IR+ is more flexible than IR. I.e. When you know a player is out for the year and yahoo lists them as day to day you can use the IR+ and pick up a replacement.
For TORAL
Draft format from last year:
Snake draft (is based on the 2016 final standings),
21 players.
4 keepers.
17 Draft rounds:
positions: C, C, C, LW, LW, LW, RW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, D, G, G, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN
Offense: G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, Hits
Goalies: W, GAA, SV%, SHO
