Subject: What's your worst move this year?

2 things in particular have killed me this season. 1) Joe Johnson. I picked him up early in the season and he did nothing. I dumped him. Later he got hot and everybody picked him up. I held off day after day thinking he would disappoint. But, no. He made lotso pts for the rest of the world. So he hurt me when I had him and when I didn't have him (I have had him for the last 10 days or so.) 2) Kirilenko--held for 2 DNP's |

I had T-Mac last week and he was "hoping to play." I decided to get rid of him on Day One of his back-to-back games. Been burned too many times by guys who "hope to play." I went to Kobe! Desperate to make up ground. T-Mac plays and gets 50+ and Kobe goes for 14.5. Next day is off for Kobe and T-Mac gets 35-40, IIRC. Day Three T-Mac has an off day and Kobe slices a finger and gets a DNP. Net was I lost about 110 points if you figure I could have held T-Mac for the back-to-back and then traded into a guy who would play and get 35-40 points. Should have known that the move was high risk but I am falling so far behind in my division that I panicked.

I could have gotten Joe Johnson for Arroyo 2 or 3 weeks ago but decided against it, knowing that I wouldn´t be able to do it the next day (JJ outgained Arroyo like I expected, but I just thought JJ wouldn´t be this hot and I hoped Arroyo would do well so I figured I was saving a trade). Looking back, this cost me around 200 points and 400-500K. On top of this, I used that trade two days later (my only trade left that week) to move out of Camby when I thought he was injured, but it turned out he was fine.

this is couple of months ago. not sure exactly when.....maybe you guys can pinpoint it for me.
traded for jermo and he dnp'd out of the blue despite battling knee tendinitis. anyways, i drop him thinking he's going to be day to day for a while and he comes back the next game with a 50+ game and continues on a roll.
net: 2 trades, 0 points, no jermo during his blowup period.

to amend the title.."What's TSN's worst move this year?"
Sabotaging people's roster value by arbitrarily keeping an inaccurate red I next to a player's name whether he is injured or not! see TMac. or any other player that is back from an injury and the red I is still next to their name.

Whew! Couldn't agree more on the listing TMac as injured. That one hurt.

Lamar Odom the first day of the season on 2 teams to get a jump on points and he was injured in the first quarter. Just another reason to draft a day late. Now I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on Odom again, now that he's producing

I am still pissed at Charlie Ward and Don Cheney. Why the hell couldn't he stick with a point guard?

Randolph to Steve Kerr?!? Wow, that's a good one - this will win you the thread... ;) And I thought I had a good one by originally drafting Baker and LeBron just to trade them to Shaq and Diaw minutes before the first game of the season.

I bought Baron 3 days ago as well, but if that was your WORST mistake, your team must be doing very, very good.

Using the red crayon instead of the blue one. Well, I had to because I either ate the blue one, or its up my nose.

I have like 3 of those nose suction things for infants if you can't get it out.
Trading into artest and amare right before they both got injured.

I bought Shaq and Maggette on Thurs. Maggette was averaging around 30-35 for the year and gave me a 17 and 19.5 before hurting himself tonight. Now I need to dump Shaq so I can upgrade Maggette. I couldn't decide whether to go with James and Allen or Shaq and Maggette. Guess I picked wrong.

i dont make bad moves my friend. I don't regret any of the decisions i have made. My thinking is sound and my strategy is great. I just haven't been getting the luck that is needed to boost my team up a few 100 points. I will tell you this though. I seriously doubt i have made any mistakes this year other than not getting the player who scores the most points at a given time. Strategy has few flaws.

I agree with you, Deadeyes. It's not your fault your master plan didn't work out. It's the fault of those pesky players. Why couldn't they just follow the plan. And it's the fault of the other couple hundred managers with a better WWR than you. I'm sure none of them had a strategy. They just threw darts at the Sartibles and made lucky guesses. And that "strategy has few flaws" line is just classic. That's from Napoleon after Waterloo, isn't it?

Lol. Nice one Dunk. On a side note I thinkwe should just not acknowledge him we he's being retarded. He's an attention whore. He's says stupid, grandiose things to get a reaction. He's kinda like Freddy Krueger. If u keep believing in him he'll just keep coming back, but if u forget about him he'll lose his power and disappear. Although it is kinda fun watching people make him look stupid. Hmm. well food for thought anyway, i've been holding that in for awhile. toodles.

Hill => Fortson
That's the only move I really really wish I didn't do. Some others I wish I could take back, but I think they were decent decisions at the time.

1.Wade to Hart then Hart gets hurt 2 days later. 2. Holding Nowitzki tradeless then selling him for Ilg the day he comes back. 3. Brezec to Pollard 4. Selling KG for Dirk last week. 5. Holding Tinsley through 2DNP's
and the worst move by far:
........playing the game this year thinking that It wouldn't take much time to be competitive...
Of course, if I was as good as Mookie it would've been the best move!
