Subject: OT: Batman Characters

After an elongated debate with many others, I am interested in the opinions of this group of well-educated people in regards to their favorite original Batman character and why.
Please note, for us purists, the ill-advised movies that came out after the original series should NOT be included (unless one considers Poison Ivy's Uma Thurman...yum, yum....pictures anyone?)
For my money, there are quite a few characters I truly enjoyed: Mr. Freeze (my favorite....quite obviously; The Riddler; The Joker; and Egghead) Perhaps this is the time to ask Guru to include a Comic Book Forum!..hint, hint.
Include your thoughts and pictures (if necessary) to back up your claim as the best of the best characters. Thanks in advance! |

Mr. Freeza, Guru does now have a "gaming and entertainment forum," in case you were not aware.......
But since we're here (lol), Joker or Riddler for me. Tough to choose between them. Penguin was cool, but a bit too cranky for me. I had the action figures for all of them and Penguin kicked the most butt because of his big belly.

lol Mike D....I could never understand how Penguin was able to escape so many times.
For my money, I like the Mad Hatter. Not sure where to get any pictures either. That'd be cool.

I know you said not to use the new movies, but Michelle Pfeiffer was pretty hot as Catwoman. The one I hated was King Tut.

Wow I just found the screen test of Burton Gervis who changed his name to Burt Ward and became Robin. Notice the Bat Insignia on Adam West's chest. It's totally different from the series.

I know Yvonne Craig played Batgirl but was she with the show the entire series? From what I understand in conversations with others, she didn't show up until way after the show had become a hit.
Also I think there were two Riddlers. One was Frank Gorshin and I heard that that Addams family guy played the other. Can't remember his name.
The 3 Catwomen characters have been well documented but to me Julie Newmar will always be the quintessential Catwoman. Me-and-ow!

LOL at some of the pictures here. Brings back memories of my tainted youth.
Would love to see some more, if somebody has the time to do them. Also, where IS the love for my main man Mr. Freeze? He was awesome. Just imagine if you had his powers.
As far as Catwoman goes, Michelle Pfieffer can definitely wear a catsuit better than anyone. (picture anyone?) Some may say Eartha Kitt but please don't get me started on her sad acting skills.

It's still the Joker for me!!! As an aside, I found on ebay a guy who had all 120 original episodes burned on DVD. I paid through the nose for them, but it was worth it!!
